The Chargers have signed RB Danny Woodhead to a 2-year deal.  The 5'8, 195-pounder is just a change-of-pace guy on the ground, but he's a top-notch receiver out of the backfield.  Woodhead has racked up 92 catches over the past 3 seasons in New England.  He'll likely step into a similar role with the Bolts.  If Woodhead is the only RB San Diego brings in this offseason, it'll be good news for RB Ryan Mathews.  Meanwhile, the Pats are left with Shane Vereen and Leon Washington behind Stevan Ridley.  Our money is on Vereen capturing the pass-catching role, which would put him squarely on the fantasy radar in PPR leagues.

Patriots injury reports usually consist of about 82 players listed as questionable. But Danny Woodhead and Chandler Jones are among the 5 guys listed as probable for Sunday's AFC title matchup with Baltimore. And that's it. Nice of them to finally clear things up for any fantasy owners still playing. Jones' ankle has been enough of a question mark that he reportedly wouldn't even reveal his status to his brother Arthur, who plays for the Ravens. That's certainly no shock coming out of Foxboro.

Not surprisingly, the Patriots have not updated RB Danny Woodhead's status after he was forced from Sunday's game against the Raiders.  But beat writer Ian Rapoport hears that Woodhead has a sprained ankle, but no torn ligaments or broken bones.  "It's a week-to-week thing," Rapoport writes.  After getting 15 touches in the season-opener, Woodhead has seen just 17 total in the past 3 games combined.  He's just about fallen off the fantasy radar.
