College career:
Before we can get into what Zamora did on the field at Baylor, we need to address what he did off it. Video surfaced last year of him whipping and kicking his dog. He was charged with a misdemeanor, fined and required to serve 40 hours of community service. He was also suspended for 3 games this past season and wasn’t invited to the Combine.
Prior to all that, Zamora was redshirted in 2014 and played a minimal role in 2015, finishing 6th on the team in catches, 5th in receiving yards and 4th in TDs. He also returned 5 kicks for 142 yards.
Corey Coleman’s departure opened up a bigger role for Zamora this past year. He ranked 2nd on the team, behind only KD Cannon, in catches, yards and TDs. And that was despite the 3-game suspension. Zamora topped 100 yards in 4 of his 10 games and hit pay dirt in 7 different outings.

Zamora looks the part. He’s thickly built with a chiseled upper body. He was simply too big, strong and athletic for a lot of the DBs he faced in college.
Zamora is light on his feet for such a big dude. Baylor often used him on quick screens, where he displayed some make-you-miss ability.
Like teammate KD Cannon, Zamora didn’t run a wide variety of routes. Per Matt Harmon, 73.6% of his routes were either a screen, slant or curl. But Zamora did at least flash route-running potential.
And he also boasts some moves to beat press coverage.
Fantasy potential:
Zamora is an even bigger projection than most incoming rookie WRs. He played just 10 college games with a significant role. And he comes from a spread Baylor offense that didn’t require him to run the full route tree.
Throw in the off-field issues, and there’s obviously bust potential here. But Zamora’s combination of size, speed and athleticism also gives him 1 of the highest ceilings in this year’s WR class. That's exactly the type of guy we want to target in the later rounds of rookie drafts.
