Shark Bites

Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday. It puts him on track to play against the Patriots on Sunday night. Sanu will be in the WR3 mix for that plus matchup.

Falcons OLB Vic Beasley will make his return against the Dolphins today. It'll be his 1st action since a partial hamstring tear suffered in Week 2. We wouldn't push him back into IDP lineups yet, as we could see limited snaps in the return game. But getting Beasley back undoubtedly helps the sack outlook for an otherwise weak Atlanta pass rush.

Falcons K Matt Bryant (back) is active for today’s game against the Dolphins. The back issue obviously adds risk, but Bryant also has plenty of upside kicking for a team with an implied total of 29.75 — highest of the week.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Falcons K Matt Bryant (back) is expected to kick against the Dolphins today. He only practiced on Friday this week. Consider him a risk/reward Week 6 fantasy play.

Falcons K Matt Bryant (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. The “expectation” is that he’ll play, according to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure. There’s upside here in a plus matchup at home for the Dolphins. But you might want to go with a safer K in fantasy lineups.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip) was limited in practice all week but isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’s good to go for Sunday’s game against a leaky Dolphins pass defense.

Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Now 2 weeks into a 2-3 week timetable, consider him questionable for Week 7. His absence on Sunday makes WR Taylor Gabriel and TE Austin Hooper more intriguing fantasy fliers.

Falcons K Matt Bryant (back) missed practice again on Thursday. We haven't heard for sure whether he's in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. Miami, but it sure seems like he is. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip) was limited for the 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He's fully expected to play against the Dolphins this weekend, but it'd be nice to see him put in a full practice on Friday.

Falcons K Matt Bryant was held out of Wednesday's practice with a back injury. We don't have any other details right now. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hip) was on the field for the start of Wednesday's practice. It's confirmation that he's on track to play vs. Miami this weekend. As usual, Jones will be a high-upside WR1 for that game.

Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. It's not a good sign coming out of the Week 5 bye. It's also not a surprise, though, after ESPN's Vaughn McClure reported that Sanu would miss 2-3 weeks. He seems unlikely to play against the Dolphins on Sunday. That'd figure to mean more action for WR Taylor Gabriel and TE Austin Hooper.

Falcons OLB Vic Beasley put in a limited practice Monday for the 1st time since suffering a slight hamstring tear in Week 2, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure. We'll see whether Beasley is ready for game action in Week 6, but don't be surprised if the team eases him back.

ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports that Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with his hamstring injury. Atlanta has a Week 5 bye, so Sanu figures to miss a game or 2. He averaged a healthy 7 targets per game over the first 3, so his absence will create extra opportunities for guys like WR Taylor Gabriel and TE Austin Hooper.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Falcons don't expect WR Julio Jones to miss any games. He's dealing with a hip flexor injury but gets a well-timed Week 5 bye. We'll keep a close eye on Jones when Atlanta returns to work next week, but owners can tentatively plan on getting him back for Week 6.

Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu is out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Bills with a hamstring injury. With WR Julio Jones also out, Atlanta is down to Taylor Gabriel and Justin Hardy as the top 2 WRs.

Falcons WR Julio Jones exited in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Bills with a hip injury. He was shown heading back to the locker room with trainers. We'll update his status when we know more.

Update: Jones has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Falcons HC Dan Quinn said Monday that WR Julio Jones is dealing with a lower-back injury. Quinn said Jones will be limited in practice this week but expressed no concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Bills, per ESPN's Vaughn McClure. We'll keep an eye on the situation. Jones played a season-high 85.3% of Atlanta's offensive snaps and tallied a 7-91 line on 12 targets in the win over the Lions.

Falcons OLB Vic Beasley suffered a "slight tear" in his right hamstring in Sunday night's win over the Packers, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure. The injury is expected to cost him at least a month. That removes the top pass rusher from a defense that already delivers inconsistent pocket pressure. Fortunately for fantasy owners, neither Beasley nor the Atlanta defense generally make for terrific starting options.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman has received full clearance from his concussion, HC Dan Quinn said Tuesday. We'll file this away in case Freeman suffers another head injury at some point, but his fantasy stock is unaffected for now.
