Cardinals HC Bruce Arians confirmed that QB Ryan Lindley will start Saturday's Wild Card game against the Panthers.  QB Drew Stanton remains out with his knee problem.  Lindley played better in the season finale than he did in Week 16, but the finale still included 3 TDs.  He's not a recommended fantasy play vs. a Carolina defense that's allowed just 10 TDs with 7 INTs over its last 9 games.

Cardinals QB Drew Stanton needed arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee to fight an infection, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.  "May be done for the year," Rapoport adds.  It's another tough blow for a team that's been completely snake-bitten at QB this season.  If Stanton isn't able to return, Arizona would be forced to roll with QB Ryan Lindley or QB Logan Thomas in the playoffs.  The Cards will likely open on the road against the winner of Sunday's Falcons-Panthers game.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen hears that Cardinals QB Drew Stanton will miss 4 weeks with his sprained MCL and ACL.  That'll knock him out through the regular season and the 1st round of the playoffs.  It leaves Arizona with Ryan Lindley and Logan Thomas as their healthy QBs.  Neither is a fantasy option the rest of the way, but Larry Fitzgerald owners should be hoping for Lindley.  Thomas isn't close to being an NFL-ready passer.

Cardinals QB Drew Stanton is considered "week-to-week" with a sprained knee suffered on Thursday night, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.  Insider Mike Jurecki hears that Stanton was diagnosed with a sprained ACL and Grade 2 MCL sprain.  It sounds like Arizona is hoping to get Stanton back at some point this season, but they'll likely need to roll with Ryan Lindley or Logan Thomas at least in Week 16 vs. Seattle.  It's a situation to stay far, far away from in fantasy football.

Cardinals QB Drew Stanton injured his right knee in the 3rd quarter of Thursday night's win over the Rams.  He wasn't able to put any weight on the leg and was eventually carted back to the locker room.  "We have no idea what the extent of it is," HC Bruce Arians said after the game.  "He's had a previous one, so there's not any knowledge whatsoever.  We'll take it very slow with him and see how it goes once we get in the MRI and all that information."  Stanton also suffered right knee injuries in 2003 at Michigan State and in his 2007 rookie season.  If he misses time, it's unclear if Arizona would go to Ryan Lindley or Logan Thomas.  Lindley replaced Stanton on Thursday and went 4-of-10 for 30 yards.  Thomas went 1-of-8 in his only action this season.  The entire Cardinals passing game is best avoided in Week 16 against Seattle.
