Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson left Sunday night's game with an ankle sprain. HC Bruce Arians told the Arizona Republic on Monday that his top corner is day to day, and Peterson tweeted out, "You guys know I'll be good to go." His status may not really matter for this week's matchup with the Niners, who don't have much of anything going on offense -- or defense, for that matter.
The Cardinals have been experimenting with using CB Patrick Peterson on offense. He's one of the most athletic and explosive players in the game -- regardless of position. HC Bruce Arians has Peterson in about 15 offensive plays, according to Sports Illustrated's Peter King. Peterson will reportedly see time at WR and wingback in Arians' offense. He's highly unlikely see more than 1 or 2 touches per game and won't be an option in standard fantasy leagues. But it could provide a boost to his IDP profile. And an extra weapon can't hurt QB Carson Palmer's outlook.
