Seahawks QB Geno Smith (groin) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’s ready to go for Sunday’s game against a banged-up Titans defense. Smith checks in 12th in the Week 16 QB Rankings.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Seahawks QB Geno Smith aggravated his groin injury and now has an "uphill battle" to play vs. the Eagles on Monday night. It sounds like we should expect QB Drew Lock to start that one. We're updating Seattle projections now.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (groin) won't play vs. the 49ers today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Smith suffered what ESPN's Adam Schefter termed a two-week groin injury in Thursday's practice. We'll see if Smith can make it back for next Monday night's game vs. the Eagles. QB Drew Lock starts today for the first time since 2021. He's a significant downgrade from Smith for Seattle's pass catchers.

Update: Smith is officially INACTIVE.

The Seahawks are not expected to decide on QB Geno Smith's status for today's game vs. the 49ers until pregame warmups, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Smith suffered what's considered a two-week groin injury in Thursday's practice, per Schefter. "The Seahawks sounded guarded and uncertain Saturday night after they arrived in San Francisco," Schefter writes. "As tough as Smith is, they know there's a real possibility they could be without him Sunday." NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has a similar report, saying Smith's status is "up in the air" and that QB Drew Lock is "preparing to start." We won't get Seattle's inactives until a little after 2:30 pm ET for this 4:05 kickoff. At this point, we're working under the assumption that it'll be Lock at QB today. That's bad news for the Seahawks skill-position players, particularly the WRs.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with a groin issue. We don't have any other details on the situation. We'll see what Smith does in Friday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report. Of course, he was already a shaky Week 14 fantasy play vs. San Francisco's fifth-ranked QB defense.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith ripped the Cowboys for 334 yards and three TDs on Thursday night. Smith got rolling on his very first drive, threading a pass between two Dallas defenders to WR D.K. Metcalf, who took off for a 73-yard score. Smith's other two TDs also went to Metcalf, from one and three yards out. He added a five-yard rushing TD for a truly monstrous fantasy outing. The 334 passing yards were Smith's second-most of the season -- and the most by a Cowboys opponent this year. It was also Smith's first game of the season with more than two passing scores. The big game came when Smith, Metcalf, and WR Tyler Lockett were finally all off the injury report. If those guys can stay healthy the rest of the way, there should be plenty of fantasy goodness to be had. Week 14 brings a rematch against a tough 49ers defense. But that's followed by plus matchups against the Eagles and Titans. Smith closes the fantasy ceiling against the Steelers' eighth-ranked QB defense.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith is not listed on the Week 13 injury report. He played through an elbow/tricep injury on Thanksgiving night, mustering just 180 passing yards, 0 TDs, and one INT. It's tough to say whether the injury or San Francisco's defense was the bigger culprit. Regardless, the injury is evidently no longer an issue heading into Thursday night's game vs. the Cowboys. Smith, however, still sits well outside QB1 territory in the Week 13 Rankings.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (elbow) is active for tonight’s game vs. the 49ers. He was a full-go in Wednesday’s practice and “looked good, felt good,” according to HC Pete Carroll. It doesn’t sound like the elbow/tricep injury will be a major factor tonight. But it adds some risk in what’s already a tough matchup. Smith sits deep in QB2 territory in the Week 12 Rankings.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that QB Geno Smith's knee is "fine" coming off the bye week. Smith briefly exited the Week 4 win over the Giants with a knee injury but was able to return. He should be fine for this Sunday's game vs. the Bengals.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll expects QB Geno Smith to be okay after suffering knee and ankle injuries in Monday night's win over the Giants. Smith missed the final series of the first half of that game but returned for the second. “He kind of twisted his knee a little bit," Carroll said. "It really was knee and ankle at first, but I think it just came down to taping up the ankle and then his knee was a little bit — he might be sore [Tuesday.] He’ll need a break.” Smith said that he experienced "some slight pain, but overall, I was just happy that I came out OK.” Seattle gets a well-timed Week 5 bye. It sounds like Smith will be able to play come Week 6.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith completed 13 of 20 passes for 110 yards with 1 TD vs. the Giants on Monday night. He briefly exited the contest for a series due to a knee injury, but he played in the majority of the game. Smith’s numbers on the week accomplished very little for fantasy managers, but lots of credit goes to the Seattle defense for putting this game away early. Rookie CB Devon Witherspoon’s 97-yard INT return for a TD stands out as a prime moment in the game. Next week, the Seahawks will be on their bye week.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (right shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He was added on Thursday and limited in practice, but Smith was upgraded to full participation on Friday. It all suggests that the shoulder issue won't be a factor vs. the Panthers this weekend.
