But the upside will be worth chasing for many IDP lineups. He has moved up to DL2 territory in our Week 11 rankings.

Giants Edge Azeez Ojulari left Sunday's loss to the Dolphins with an ankle injury. He has already lost time to a hamstring injury this year and supplied little production when he has made it onto the field. Ojulari isn't worth much IDP attention right now.

Giants LB Micah McFadden is questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. He suffered an ankle injury during the practice week that limited his participation Thursday and Friday. We'll check his status Sunday morning.

That's a shift vs. Friday, when HC Brian Daboll said he didn't expect McKinney to return. The safety has been out since suffering a hand injury in a 4-weeler accident during the team's Week 9 bye. McKinney landed on the non-football injury list Monday and had surgery Tuesday on multiple fingers after a Can-Am crash in Mexico. He said his hand "will be fine" but couldn't commit to making it back onto the field before the end of this season. McKinney is droppable in most IDP redraft formats. Dane Belton and Jason Pinnock are the candidates to fill in for him.

Giants rookie EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux suffered a right knee injury in Sunday night's preseason game against the Bengals. He took a nasty-looking shot to the side of it on a low block but was able to walk off. Jay Glazer reports that Thibodeaux will have an MRI on Monday. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero adds that there's "initial optimism he avoided a major injury." We'll see what the MRI says.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Giants DE Leonard Williams is "going to miss time" with an elbow injury "feared to be significant." We'll see about the official diagnosis. With just 4 weeks left in the regular season, an IR trip would effectively end Williams' year.

The Giants might also consider altering S Jabrill Peppers' role, with Martinez down. Peppers has seen his playing time sag amid struggles in coverage, but he would offer above-average speed at LB and spent a season at the position at the end of college. Martinez will still be just 28 when next season begins, but his contract plus the injury could leave the Giants with an offseason decision to make. The final year on his deal carries a $14.2 million cap hit, according to Spotrac, vs. $5.5 million in dead money if New York trades or releases Martinez.
