released by JaguarsThe Jaguars have released WR Lee Evans. The fact that he couldn't make that 53-man roster tells you all you need to know about Evans at this point. He's done. Laurent Robinson and Justin Blackmon will be Jacksonville's starting WRs this season, with Cecil Shorts and Mike Thomas battling for slot duties. None of those guys are recommended fantasy starters.

signs in JacksonvilleThe Jags signed WR Lee Evans to a 1-year deal. The 31-year-old has battled injuries over the last two seasons, but remains a viable deep threat. Still, as a complement to Mike Thomas and Laurent Robinson, he won’t be on the fantasy radar in standard size leagues.

will be releasedRavens insider Aaron Wilson reports that WR Lee Evans will be released. No surprise here -- Baltimore was never going to pay him the 4.3 million he was due in 2012. Evans suffered an ankle injury last August and was unable to really get over it. He finished the season with just 8 catches. The soon-to-be 30-year-old shouldn't have too much trouble finding a job, but it only figures to be as a situational deep threat.

to see more playing timeRavens HC John Harbaugh says he wants to get Lee Evans on the field in more 2-WR sets. “Lee’s a guy that we want to work in more and more,” Harbaugh said. "He’s only going to get better as we go forward here.” WR Anquan Boldin isn't coming off the field much, so Evans' increased playing time would come at the expense of rookie WR Torrey Smith. We'll believe this when we see it though. Evans has caught just 1 ball in 2 games since returning from the ankle injury, while Smith has been a big-time deep threat all season, averaging 19.8 yards per catch. We'll monitor the situation, but for now, Smith remains a boom-or-bust WR3. Evans is just a bench stash.

activeRavens WR Lee Evans (ankle) is active for today's game against the Bengals. In his first action since Week 2, expect Evans to play a situational deep threat role. He's not a fantasy option at this point. WR Torrey Smith can continue to be used as a boom-or-bust WR3.

a GTD for Week 11Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) put in a week of limited practices and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. He'll be a game-time decision. Even if Evans does play, his role would be minimal. He's not a fantasy option, and his status won't impact WR Torrey Smith.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
at full speedRavens WR Lee Evans (ankle) says he's finally able to run and cut at full speed. He's been out since Week 2 and considers himself a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bengals. When Evans does return, he'll have a lot of catching up to do. Rookie WR Torrey Smith has proven worthy of significant action, if not the starting job. Evan is worth monitoring -- and even adding in deeper formats -- but he's not yet a fantasy option.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
inactiveRavens WR Lee Evans (ankle) is inactive for today's game against the Seahawks. Torrey Smith remains locked-in as Baltimore's #2 WR.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
not expected to play Week 10Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) was able to practice all week, but HC John Harbaugh says there's only an "outside chance" that he plays against the Seahawks this weekend. Evans is clearly getting closer to 100%, but the team is playing it safe, especially in a game they should be able to win easily without him. Torrey Smith remains Baltimore's #2 WR and continues to be a boom-or-bust WR3 option in fantasy.

could play Week 10Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. He hasn't played since Week 2 but is hoping to return this weekend. "Hopefully, we're going to try and see," Evans said. "We're going to go out and do a little bit and see what happens. It's been a while since I've been out there, so hopefully it feels good." Evans' availability for Sunday's game against the Seahawks hinges on how that ankle responds to practice the rest of the week. Even if he's active, though, we'd expect his snaps to be limited as Baltimore's #3 WR.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
ruled out for Week 8Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. WR Torrey Smith gets another start in an ultra-favorable matchup.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
still has pain in ankleRavens WR Lee Evans admits that he still has pain in his bum ankle and that he's unsure exactly when he'll be back. "I've made a lot of progress," Evans said. "It feels a lot better but there's still pain and soreness." He also said that he "hopes" to be back within the next couple weeks. WR Torrey Smith has played well in Evans' absence, so it'll be interesting to see how Baltimore splits snaps when Evans finally returns.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
ruled out for Week 7Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Jaguars. He hasn't been showing signs of progress, and there's still timetable for his return. WR Torrey Smith will continue to start in Evans' place.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
ruled out for Week 6Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) has been ruled out for this weekend’s game against the Texans. It sounds like he suffered a setback during Wednesday’s workout and was unable to practice on Thursday or Friday. Torrey Smith will get another start and is a boom-or-bust WR3 play.

misses practice ThursdayAfter putting in a limited practice on Wednesday, Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) sat out on Thursday. It sounds like he suffered a setback. We'd bet against Evans playing this weekend, but check back on Friday for an update. If he can't go, Torrey Smith would start and make for a boom-or-bust WR3 option.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
practices WednesdayRavens WR Lee Evans (ankle) practiced on Wednesday. Barring a setback over the next couple days, he should be ready for this weekend's game against the Texans. Evans shouldn't be in fantasy lineups yet, but is definitely worth a roster spot. His return will put a major dent in WR Torrey Smith's snap and target counts.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
still uncertain for Week 6Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) admits that he's still unsure if he'll be ready to return for this weekend's game against the Texans. "It feels better but tomorrow might be a different story," Evans said of his sprained ankle. "I think we're on the right path. The goal is to play without being hampered." According to Ravens insider Aaron Wilson, Evans "practiced more extensively" today than he has in previous weeks. Consider him questionable for Week 6, but Evans won't be a fantasy option until he makes it through a game at 100%.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
ruled out for Week 4Ravens WR Lee Evans (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Ravens. He's planning on returning after Baltimore's Week 5 bye. Meanwhile, rookie WR Torrey Smith gets another start. But despite last week's monster outing, he's not a recommended fantasy option against a tough Jets secondary.
Lee Evans UNS -WR
held out WednesdayRavens WR Lee Evans (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. The team is prepared to hold him out until that ankle gets back to 100%. It doesn't like it'll be there this week. Look for WR Torrey Smith to get another start this weekend, but he's not a recommended fantasy option against a tough Jets pass defense.
