Kamerion Wimbley TEN -LB

set to join Titans

FOX Sports' Adam Caplan reports that the Titans have reached a 5-year, $35 million deal with Kamerion Wimbley. Designated a LB in Oakland, Wimbley delivered his greatest value as an edge rusher in passing situations. That followed 4 years as an OLB in Cleveland's 3-4 scheme to open his career. Whatever his official position, Wimbley is a pass rusher. He's best suited for a DE spot with the Titans, who are obviously paying him starter money. Tennessee got a good return on 2011 rookie Akeem Ayers at SLB. That was Wimbley's position on run downs with the Raiders. If he enters 2012 as a DL in your fantasy league, there's plenty of upside. If he carries an LB designation, the value will be mitigated in common formats.

Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley (illness) is inactive for today's game against the Steelers.  Good news for QB Ben Roethlisberger.  Wimbley leads the Browns with 4 sacks.  He's also 4th on the team with 32 tackles.  He'll be replaced by Jason Trusnik, who Cleveland acquired from the Jets in the Braylon Edwards trade.

SI.com reports the Cleveland Browns expect LB Kamerion Wimbley to bounce back from his 5-sack season last year. The 13th overall selection of the 2006 draft, Wimbley struggled when the interior defensive linemen were getting shoved around. This year Cleveland brought in DTs Shaun Rogers and Corey Williams, who have proven they can dominate for long spurts. Wimbley was chosen for our 2008 IDP Sleepers article which was just posted today. Click on Articles/Features above to check it out!
