Shark Bites

When the Chargers grabbed Melvin Ingram at the 18th spot, plenty of TV guys deemed it a steal. Ingram had been commonly projected in the top-10 before falling from that perch recently. The question seemed to be where his size would allow him to fit. He'll be an OLB in San Diego, and a "mean, nasty ... extremely physical" one with "a great motor," according to GM A.J. Smith. Ingram might not start right away, with Shaun Phillips and free-agent addition Jarret Johnson already in place. He'll be a passing-down replacement for Johnson, though, perhaps pushing the former Raven inside. Ingram's number of snaps will determine any fantasy value. He's not immediately worthy of a pick in redraft leagues.
