Ravens WR Torrey Smith left in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game to be checked for a concussion.  He ran into his teammate on the play, resulting in an INT for the Bengals.  Smith will return only if he passes his baseline tests.

Update: Smith later returned.

The Ravens are looking to get WR Torrey Smith on track.  "It's a focus to get Torrey going," HC John Harbaugh said Monday. "I'm very confident that we can do that."  Smith is on pace for 35-563-3 line through 5 games.  All of those marks would be career lows.  Smith's 27 targets are a problem, but his 40.7% catch rate is the bigger issue.  He has 3 drops, including a big one on a deep ball in the 4th quarter this past week.  We're not optimistic about his chances of rebounding this season.  Steve Smith is clearly Baltimore's #1 WR.

Ravens WR Torrey Smith (thigh) is active for today’s game against the Bengals.  He was limited in practice this week but was never in danger of missing the must-win game.  Use Smith as you normally would.

Ravens WR Torrey Smith (thigh) was limited in practice this week.  He's listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, but we've heard nothing that suggests he's in any danger of missing the must-win game.  Pencil Smith into fantasy lineups and check back at noon ET on Sunday to make sure he's active.

The forecast for today's Patriots-Ravens game calls for a 50% chance of rain and thunderstorms with winds at 10-12 mph.  That figures to make deep passing more difficult, which is bad news for WR Torrey Smith.  New England's short passing game should be fine.

The forecast for today's Jets-Ravens game is 31 degrees, 19 mph winds and a chance of snow showers.  The wind figures to make downfield passing a bit tougher, which could be bad news for QB Joe Flacco and WR Torrey Smith.  Flacco isn't a recommended fantasy starter today.  We still like Smith as a WR2 against a burnable Jets secondary.  New York's passing game is best off avoided in fantasy.  Expect a big workload for RB Chris Ivory.

The forecast for today's Ravens-Bears game calls for a 70% chance of rain with 25-35 mph winds.  "Damaging winds, large hail, and possibly a tornado with some storms," the weather.com forecast says.  The passing games will definitely be impacted.  Expect a run-heavy game plan from both teams and shorts throws when they do take to the air.  We just adjusted our projections for this game.  Storms are also expected for the Jets-Bills, Lions-Steelers and Browns-Bengals games, but the conditions won't be bad enough to impact our rankings.  You can use the weather as a tiebreaker if you're deciding between 2 players.

Ravens WR Torrey Smith knows he's being counted on more than ever before in 2013.  But he's staying cool following the trade of WR Anquan Boldin and the season-ending injury to TE Dennis Pitta.  “No, I never feel pressure at all,” Smith told the Baltimore Sun.  “My job doesn't change.  Obviously, I expect more out of myself performance-wise whether they were there or not."  Smith was already poised for a possible breakout season before Pitta went down.  He'll have to overcome lots of increased coverage, but the 3rd-year man looks like a capable fantasy WR2 as the team's primary pass-catcher.
