Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola on the trade block?
Bleacher Report's Dan Pompei reports that Patriots WR Danny Amendola "has been floated in trade talks." New England signed the former Ram to a 5-year, $28.5 million contract just last offseason, but Amendola struggled through an injury-riddled season. He caught just 54 passes for 633 yards, letting down fantasy football owners everywhere. A healthy Amendola can still present plenty of PPR value. We'll see if the Pats actually move him.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRNo surgery expected for Amendola
Pats insider Nick Underhill passes along word that WR Danny Amendola (groin) won’t undergo surgery. The 28-year-old was widely expected to go under the knife, but it’s believed that the injury can heal with rest. Amendola severely underperformed in his 1st year in New England, posting a 54-633-2 line across 12 games. After the season, both Amendola and Tom Brady admitted that they lacked chemistry. Of course, the health of the injury-prone WR is key to changing that moving forward. Amendola will remain on the fantasy radar next season -- especially if the Pats lose unrestricted free agent Julian Edelman.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola plays sparingly in Week 16
Patriots WR Danny Amendola played just 32 of 69 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Ravens. That trailed both Julian Edelman (68) and Aaron Dobson (54). The 32 snaps and 46% snap rate were both season lows for Amendola. He finished with just 2 catches on 3 targets for 45 yards. That, of course, followed his big 10-131 line in Week 15. New England's offense is always game-plan specific, so Amendola could return to a significant role in the season finale. Or he could play sparingly again. He'll be a risk/reward WR3 in Week 17.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola active
Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion) is active for today’s game against the Dolphins. He figures to be QB Tom Brady’s #2 option behind TE Rob Gronkowski. Consider Amendola a low-end WR2 for Week 8.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola will play Week 8
NFL Network's Albert Breer confirms that Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion) has been cleared and will play against the Dolphins on Sunday. Sitting out last week should have that pesky groin injury closer to 100%, too. Amendola should be available for a full slate of snaps, making him a strong fantasy option.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola "ready to go" for Week 8
Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion) said Friday that he's "ready to go" for this weekend's game against the Dolphins. He practiced all week without a setback. Amendola will likely end up questionable on the final injury report, but fantasy owners can pencil him into lineups. We'll find out his official status by noon ET on Sunday.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola back at practice
Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion) returned to practice on Wednesday. It doesn't necessarily mean he's been cleared for game action, but he's at least progressing in that direction. And he still has 4 days to get there. Consider Amendola better than 50-50 to play against the Dolphins this weekend.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRNo timetable for Amendola's return
Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion) has no timetable for return, according to insider Tom Curran. That's not surprising since we're dealing with New England. We're unlikely to get an update from the team, so we'll need to check the practice reports. Consider Amendola no better than 50-50 for Week 8.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola ruled out for Week 7
As expected, Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets. He hasn't even been cleared to practice yet and should be considered iffy for Week 8. WR Julian Edelman will step back into the slot role. He's a solid WR3, even with TE Rob Gronkowski expected back this week.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola out Wednesday
Patriots WR Danny Amendola did not practice on Wednesday. He left last weekend's game with what was believed to be a concussion. Of course, the Patriots haven't updated his status. Amendola appeared to be knocked out on the field, though, so he seems like a long shot to gain medical clearance ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola suffers head injury
Patriots WR Danny Amendola took a helmet-to-helmet hit on an end-around in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game. He was down for about a minute and was clearly woozy walking off the field. He'll undergo concussion testing and is likely done for the day.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola active
Patriots WR Danny Amendola (groin) is officially active for today’s game against the Bengals. His snaps are expected to be limited in his 1st game since Week 1, so Amendola is a risk/reward fantasy option. We are hearing that he looked good in pregame warmups, though.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRSloppy conditions for Patriots-Bengals
The weather forecast for this afternoon's Patriots-Bengals game calls for 50% chance of rain and 14 mph winds. It's been raining all morning, so the field will likely be sloppy. It's not enough to downgrade either team's passing game, but we wonder how the field conditions will impact WR Danny Amendola's usage. Amendola is a risk/reward fantasy option for Week 5. Click here to see where he sits in our rankings.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola's Week 5 snaps to be limited
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer confirms that Patriots WR Danny Amendola (groin) is expected to play today, but adds that the team is "planning to limit his reps." That's not a surprise considering Amendola's injury history -- and the fact that this will be his 1st action since Week 1. It's also worth noting that Amendola went for 10 catches and 104 yards despite playing just 62% of the snaps in the opener. We'd expect him to play at least that much against the Bengals today.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRPatriots believe Amendola will play Week 5
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that the Patriots "hope and believe" WR Danny Amendola (groin) will play against the Bengals today. That's been the general consensus throughout the week, although a final decision won't be made until after pregame warmups. Check back around noon ET for Amendola's official status. He'll be a risk/reward WR2 if active.
Danny AmendolaNE -WRAmendola ready to go?
Pats insider Jeff Howe passes along word that the team “remains highly optimistic” about WR Danny Amendola (groin). Howe also notes that New England is “highly pessimistic” about the status of TE Rob Gronkowski. This has been the general theme all week. Gronk is poised for a Week 6 return. Meanwhile, Amendola is trending towards being active, though his workload is very much in question. Fortunately, we’ll know before lineups lock if he plays because of a 1PM start time (at Cincinnati). Consider Amendola a WR3 if he suits up.
