Wasn’t this supposed to be Michael Gallup Week?
We all just watched the Eagles allow a 7-167-3 receiving line to Stefon Diggs. And that came just …
-- 2 weeks after they let Davante Adams hit 10-180
-- 3 weeks after they allowed Marvin Jones 6-101-1 (before he crushed that today)
-- 4 weeks after they let Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley combine for 13-211-3
-- 5 weeks after they introduced us all to Terry “Whatever Nickname You Want” McLaurin
You get it. This is a pretty nice matchup.
But now it looks like Amari Cooper will play, a week after he left the loss to the Jets early with his quad injury.
Gallup doesn’t need Cooper to be out, of course. He has already hit 100 receiving yards twice in just 3 full games shared with Cooper. Gallup drew 7, 8 and 14 targets in those games. Even with Philly activating experienced starting CB Jalen Mills and hoping to get lead CB Ronald Darby (questionable) back on the field, this remains a tremendous matchup for Cowboys wideouts.
Let’s see where the top values lie for tonight’s showdown slate.
