DFS Showdown Tips: Eagles-Cowboys
Are we ready to trust the Cowboys after last week?
Dallas beat the Chargers, but the 2 teams combined for less than 70% of the scoring we all expected. Dak Prescott let us down big time, delivering fewer fantasy points than Jameis Winston, Carson Wentz and Tyrod Taylor. Ezekiel Elliott found the end zone, but he barely edged Tony Pollard in touches. Amari Cooper fell outside the top 50 wideouts and came away with a rib injury.
Now they meet the Eagles, who managed only 11 points at home against a San Francisco squad that allowed 33 points to the Lions in the opener and another 30 to the Packers last night. Jalen Hurts saved his Week 2 fantasy day with a bunch of rushing yards and a late sneak TD. Their next-best Week 2 fantasy performer was WR Quez Watkins, thanks to a 91-yard reception.
So what can we expect from this Monday Night Football clash? Let's check the showdown charts ...
The TEs are the closest things to sleepers here, because the true low-dollar players haven't gotten opportunities through 2 weeks. Blake Jarwin leads Zach Ertz 7-4 in targets through 2 weeks. More importantly, his team has attempted 85 passes vs. 59 for Philly.
Getting both QBs into your lineup seems like a particularly good idea for this one. Dak Prescott carries the ultimate upside, including the 3-point DK bonus for 300 yards passing. (That's exactly what we have him projected for.) Jalen Hurts, of course, reminded us in Week 2 that he can deliver the fantasy goods even in a bad outing.
