San Francisco’s top-shelf defense enters Week 12 rated 2nd-best against the pass for the season but just 19th in run-D efficiency, per Football Outsiders. On the other side, Green Bay sits a mediocre 16th in pass D -- and 28th against the run.
That lines up attractively with what each team has going on offense.
The 49ers come in with the league’s 2nd most run-heavy offense, rushing on 50.9% of offensive plays. The Packers check in just 15th in run rate, but they feature 2 RBs ranked among the top 28 in PPR scoring: Aaron Jones sits 5th in total points; Jamaal Williams 28th in both total PPR points and PPR points per game.
