The 49ers enter Monday night with the league’s #1 defense in both scoring and yardage.
At the start of Week 10, only the Patriots had allowed fewer yards per play (4.3 to 4.5). San Francisco has allowed a meager 12.75 points and 241 total yards per game through 8 contests.
Football Outsiders rated the Niners 2nd only to New England in overall defensive efficiency and #1 in the league against the pass. San Francisco checked in just 20th against the run in those ratings, though.
On the other side, the 49ers offense has rated 12th in overall offensive efficiency to date: 11th passing and 15th rushing. The Seahawks’ defense, meanwhile, sits a lowly 27th overall; 21st against the pass and 22nd against the run.
That crew will face a San Francisco offense that has scored 11 TDs in 2 games since Emmanuel Sanders arrived.
