6 more guys have caught our eye since we posted 16 Fantasy Football Sleepers a couple weeks ago. Check ‘em out …
Fred Jackson, RB, Bills
Based on preseason usage, Jackson isn’t going away any time soon.
He’s actually out-touched C.J. Spiller through 3 exhibitions, 30-23. Jackson has been the Bills’ clear goal-line back, scoring an 8-yard TD in this past weekend’s preseason game. He’s also hauled in 12 balls as a safety blanket for QB E.J. Manuel.
It’s worth noting that Spiller out-touched Jackson 12-9 in the all-important 3rd exhibition. But 9 touches in less than 3 quarters of action is still a healthy workload.
We’re fully expecting Spiller to lead this backfield in touches this season. But in what projects as one of the run-heaviest offenses in the league, there’s enough to go around for both guys. Spiller and Jackson combined for 408 carries and 80 catches last year. Jackson could easily hit 150 carries and 30 catches -- about what we have him projected for.
The 33-year-old isn’t a flashy pick. But he’s finished as a top-37 PPR RB in 6 straight seasons and can be had in the 9th or 10th round of drafts. Can’t argue with that value.
