Playoff IDP Rankings

By Matt Schauf 3:01pm EST 1/1/19

If you're taking part in playoff fantasy football leagues, then you've probably already seen our offensive rankings, with insight into the teams we're favoring.

One thing I'll add here to Jared's explanation on that side: These are not deep position pools. So although the optimal strategy is to load up on productive players from lasting teams, you won't find a plethora of such options below. So what do you reach for next? A mediocre to weak option from the team you're picking to the Super Bowl? Maybe.

But you can also use these IDP positions to hedge some of your bets -- or simply chase players over team outlooks. Darius Leonard, for example, is capable of producing in 1 game what many other playoff LBs might hope to compile in 3. So he's attractive even if you don't think Indy will make it out of opening weekend.

Now on to the top 30 IDPs, followed by 83 players split into positions. (Side note: Khalil Mack only falls a bit if he's a LB in your format. I'd take him just ahead of Jatavis Brown.)

Top 30 Overall

1. Chris Jones, DE, Chiefs
2. Cameron Jordan, DE, Saints
3. Aaron Donald, DE, Rams

4. Bobby Wagner, LB, Seahawks
5. Darius Leonard, LB, Colts
6.
Anthony Hitchens, LB, Chiefs
7. Cory Littleton, LB, Rams
8. Sheldon Rankins, DT, Saints
9. Justin Houston, LB, Chiefs
10. Demario Davis, LB, Saints
