* Patriots QB Tom Brady looked just fine after being limited in training camp with a back injury. He played the entire 1st half against the Eagles, completing 19 of 26 passes for 172 yards and TDs to WR Chris Hogan and RB James White.
* WR Phillip Dorsett ran primarily with the Patriots' 1st-team offense, alongside Hogan and Julian Edelman, catching 1 of 2 targets for 4 yards. WR Cordarrelle Patterson also saw 2 targets from Brady, though, and took 1 for a 23-yard gain on a quick screen. (He later scored this ankle-breaking TD with the 2nd-team.) New England's WR depth chart behind Hogan and Edelman remains wide open.
* RB Mike Gillislee hit the field for New England's 2nd possession with Brady, with Jeremy Hill taking the 3rd. The latest buzz had Hill ahead of Gillislee on the depth chart, but the battle is ongoing.
* Eagles RB snaps with the 1st-team offense:
Jay Ajayi: 15
Wendell Smallwood: 12
