Should you adjust your QB rankings if your fantasy league uses a Team QB spot?
If last season is any indication, the answer is a big old YES.
The chart below shows where the QB you would have drafted from each team last summer finished in fantasy points and where each Team QB finished. The final column shows the difference in those rankings.
Fourteen of the 32 Team QBs finished 6 spots higher or lower than the individual QB. Bucs QB, propped up by strong performances by Ryan Fitzpatrick, finished 19 spots higher than Jameis Winston did by himself. And Lamar Jackson made owning Ravens QB much more fun than drafting Joe Flacco.
So we’ve established that we need to adjust our rankings in Team QB leagues. Now let’s rank the Team QBs for 2019, taking into account the starter, backup, pass-catching corps and offensive scheme. The projected Week 1 starter and backup are listed.
