Week 1 FanDuel Advice

With a full Sunday-Monday slate upcoming, we’re back to cover daily fantasy.

Jared already ran through his DraftKings picks. Now, it’s time to look at FanDuel, keeping in mind the following:

-On FD, your entire roster locks once the 1st game on your particular slate begins. For that reason, I advise scaling back (or eliminating) your action on Thursday nights.

-FanDuel includes a kicker. I keep it simple when choosing one, opting for low-cost options in good matchups — at home — and in favorable conditions.

-FanDuel uses .5 PPR, making it more critical that we can unearth some TD scorers.

Before we jump into the Week 1 breakdown, let’s take a look at the format for this article.

Play of the Week: This will be our favorite play based on price, projected FanDuel points and projected ownership. This guy will usually be worth considering in both cash games and tournaments.

Pay up for: A high-priced guy who’s worth spending on.

Value option: A low-priced guy in a good spot to return value. This will more often be a cash-game target.

Tournament target: A high-upside guy who figures to have low ownership.
