Week 10 IDP Free Agent Focus
Marcus Davenport, DE, Saints
Sunday found Davenport delivering the 1st sack since his return from IR. He added a 2nd QB hit and tallied 6 tackles, tying for 3rd on the team in that category. Davenport also forced a late Mike Davis fumble (though Atlanta recovered). In Week 10, he’ll face a Tennessee offense that entered the weekend allowing the league’s 4th highest adjusted sack rate, according to Football Outsiders.
David Onyemata, DT, Saints
In his 2nd game back from a season-opening PED suspension, Onyemata tied for the team lead with 7 tackles in the loss to the Falcons. He also added 2 QB hits. In his 15 games last year, Onyemata ranked 13th among all interior D-linemen in total pressures, averaging 3 per game. Week 10 brings an upside matchup with the Titans.
T.J. Edwards, LB, Eagles
Edwards followed his Week 8 jump into the starting lineup by playing 96% of the snaps in Sunday’s loss to the Chargers. He racked up 12 tackles to outpace his nearest teammate by 4. Edwards should be rostered in most IDP leagues by the start of Week 10.
Josh Bynes, LB, Ravens
Patrick Queen’s disappointing 2nd season had cut down his playing time before Sunday against the Vikings and helped Bynes move to the playing time lead at the position. Sunday’s game presented the biggest outing for Bynes, though. His 11 tackles (8 solo) beat his nearest teammate by 5. That included a tackle for loss, and Bynes added his 2nd pass breakup in 3 games. Week 10 brings a solid Thursday night matchup with Miami, which will be even better if Jacoby Brissett starts again over Tua Tagovailoa.
Ashtyn Davis, S, Jets
The Jets lost S Marcus Maye for the season in Thursday night’s loss to the Colts. Davis tied for the team lead with 10 tackles in that game and figures to lead Jets safeties in tackle production the rest of the way. He’ll get an upside matchup for DB tackles in Buffalo next week.
Kareem Jackson, S, Broncos
Jackson is likely owned in most leagues of at least moderate depth. He had tallied 6+ solo tackles in 4 of 5 games leading up to Sunday’s game in Dallas. He added another against the Cowboys, leading Denver in total tackles (9) and solo (7). Week 10 brings to town an Eagles offense that has been terrible for LB scoring but right around league average at supplying fantasy points to DBs. That includes upside in passes defensed, which Philly has delivered at a rate well above league median.
