Week 11 Free Agent Focus

By DS Staff 9:30pm EST 11/14/21

A.J. Dillon, RB, Packers

Blind-bid recommendation: 50-90%

We're not surprised if Dillon is already rostered in your league. But he hit the weekend still available in 40% of ESPN leagues. That number should get close to 0 this week, depending on the severity of Aaron Jones' knee injury. The early indication is an MCL sprain, which often costs a player multiple games. Dillon should easily land inside the top 20 RBs -- and perhaps the top 12 -- in our weekly rankings for as long as Jones sits.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots

Blind-bid recommendation: 35-50%

He took full advantage of Damien Harris’ absence Sunday, taking 20 carries for 100 yards and 2 scores. Stevenson even caught 4 of 5 targets for another 14 yards. Harris figures to be back for Week 11, but Stevenson might have earned himself an expanded role with this performance. New England gets a plus matchup vs. Atlanta this coming weekend.

Devonta Freeman, RB, Ravens

Blind-bid recommendation: 20-30%

He managed just 58 scoreless yards in Baltimore’s Thursday-night dud in Miami. But Freeman continued to separate himself as the Ravens’ lead back. He played 58% of the offensive snaps for the 2nd straight game, handled 10 of 13 RB carries and garnered 4 targets. At least until RB Latavius Murray returns from his ankle injury, Freeman looks like a low-end fantasy starter.

Mark Ingram, RB, Saints

Blind-bid recommendation: 15-30%

We’ll see if Alvin Kamara makes it back from his knee injury for next weekend’s game vs. the Eagles. If not, Ingram will again be a rock-solid fantasy play. He turned 14 carries into 47 yards and a TD in Sunday’s loss to Tennessee, adding 61 more yards on 4 catches.

Dan Arnold, TE, Jaguars

Blind-bid recommendation: 10-15%

Arnold hit the weekend still available in nearly 75% of ESPN leagues. That shouldn’t be the case. Jacksonville’s lead TE led the team in receptions (5) and receiving yards (67) in Sunday’s loss to the Colts. Arnold has played starter-level snaps the past 5 games and leads all Jaguars in targets over that span, seeing a 19.4% share. Only 4 TEs in the league are averaging more than the 7.4 targets Arnold has averaged over that span. He’s a weekly TE1 going forward.

Tyler Conklin, TE, Vikings

Blind-bid recommendation: 5-10%

Conklin caught 3 of 5 targets Sunday, with 2 of them going for TDs. Those were Conklin’s first scores since Week 3. But he’d caught 5 balls on 7 targets in each of the 2 games prior. Next up is a positive matchup vs. the Packers that will have Conklin in the low-end TE1 mix.

Deep League Options:

Cam Newton, QB, Panthers

Blind-bid recommendation: 7-15%

Newton played a bigger role Sunday than expected. He looked like the old Cam Newton on a 2-yard TD run in the 1st quarter. He later tossed a 2-yard score to WR Robby Anderson. Newton is expected to take over as Carolina’s starter next week and will likely stay in that role with QB Sam Darnold expected to miss the rest of the season. He’ll probably fall short of every-week starter status but could be a viable spot starter thanks to that rushing ability. He's a decent fantasy backup, especially for Jalen Hurts owners. Carolina gets Atlanta in Week 14, when Philly will be on bye. Newton becomes a must-add in superflex and 2-QB leagues.

Mac Jones, QB, Patriots

Blind-bid recommendation: 3-8%

The rookie has been better in real life than fantasy football so far. But he chucked 3 TDs in Sunday’s win over the Browns. Thursday night brings a matchup vs. a Falcons defense that entered this week ranked 27th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.

Wayne Gallman, RB, Falcons

Blind-bid recommendation: 10-20%

Gallman led Atlanta with 15 carries Sunday vs. just 4 apiece for Cordarrelle Patterson and Mike Davis. Much of Gallman’s work came in garbage time, but he did mix in for 4 first-half carries. If Patterson misses time with his ankle injury, it looks like Gallman will be involved.

Tre’Quan Smith, WR, Saints

Blind-bid recommendation: 2-7%

Finally healthy, Smith posted a season-best 4-44-1 line in Sunday’s loss to the Titans. He tied for the team lead with 7 targets. Smith might be the most talented WR in New Orleans and could be a useful depth piece in deeper leagues the rest of the way.

Adam Trautman, TE, Saints

Blind-bid recommendation: 3-10%

Trautman came away with a 5-32 line on 6 targets in Week 10. That gives him 6+ targets in 3 straight games, enough to make him worth rostering in many fantasy leagues of 12+ teams. Trautman gets a plus matchup vs. the Eagles in Week 11.
