Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings
Blind-bid recommendation: 10-30%
He remains available in 62% of ESPN leagues, despite tossing 3 TDs in 3 straight games and 4 of his last 5. (He threw 2 scores in the other.) Cousins has averaged 288 passing yards and over 25 fantasy points during this 5-game stretch. He'll be a QB1 option in Week 14 vs. a struggling Bucs pass defense. Note, though, that Cousins has tough draws the following 2 weeks vs. Chicago and at New Orleans.
Cam Akers, RB, Rams
Blind-bid recommendation: 100%
Akers finished last week hot and then led the Rams’ backfield Sunday, handling of carries 21 of 27 RB carries. He turned those into 72 yards and a score. Akers remains almost invisible in the passing game, seeing just his 4th target of the season this week. But 15+ carries per game the rest of the way would make him worth starting on a lot of fantasy teams. He gets neutral matchups the next 3 weeks vs. the Patriots, Jets and Seahawks.
T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts
Blind-bid recommendation: 40-60%
Hilton's disappointing season has him available in 53% of ESPN leagues right now. Hilton torched the Texans (as he usually does) for 110 yards and a score on 8 catches in Sunday's win. That followed a 5-81-1 line last week. Hilton gets a plus matchup vs. the Raiders next week, followed by a rematch with the Texans.
Keke Coutee, WR, Texans
Blind-bid recommendation: 20-35%
Coutee came through with a big 8-141 line in Houston’s 1st game since Will Fuller’s season-ending suspension. Coutee saw a team-high 9 targets — a big 23.7% of QB Deshaun Watson’s total. Even in tough matchups vs. the Bears and Colts the next 2 weeks, Coutee looks like a WR3 play. He gets a plus matchup vs. the Bengals in Week 16.
Drew Sample, TE, Bengals
Blind-bid recommendation: 5-10%
No Bengal is likely to win you any fantasy championships this year. But if you're hard up for receptions at TE, then Sample could help a little. The 2nd-year player has seen 12 targets with Brandon Allen starting the past 2 weeks and caught 11 of them. That included 7 receptions in Sunday's loss to Miami -- 2 of those after Allen left with an injury. The QB said Monday that he expects to be fine for Week 14 after having the wind knocked out of him. Sunday will find him facing a Dallas team that has been a neutral matchup for TEs.
Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles
Blind-bid recommendation: 10-25%
Philly yanked Carson Wentz in the 3rd quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Packers. Hurts spent the rest of the game under center, throwing for 109 yards and a TD to WR Greg Ward. Of course, Hurts completed just 5 of 12 passes, took 3 sacks and also threw a pick. We’ll see whether the Eagles choose to give the rookie a start vs. New Orleans in Week 14. If they do, his rushing upside (29 yards vs. Green Bay; 1,298 yards as an Oklahoma senior) would make Hurts an immediate option or 2-QB and superflex leagues. If you need another QB in such a format, consider spending even more. We'll watch this week for word from HC Doug Pederson on his QB plans going forward.
Ty Johnson, RB, Jets
Blind-bid recommendation: 20-40%
It looks like he’ll be New York’s lead back next week if Frank Gore’s concussion keeps him out. Johnson ripped off 104 yards and a score on 22 carries in Sunday's loss to the Raiders, adding 2 catches on 2 targets for 13 yards. He gets a tougher matchup next week vs. a stout Seahawks run defense, though, and would be a low-upside fantasy play.
