Desmond King, CB, Chargers
I’ve been a little slow to come around on this guy, so he might already be claimed in your deep IDP league. But L.A.’s rookie slot man has delivered big time over the season’s 2nd half.
Sunday’s win over Washington marked the 4th time in 5 games since the bye that King tallied 5+ solo tackles. His matchup with Jamison Crowder helped produce a season-high 7 solos, along with 3 assists. King added his 4th sack of the year and defensed a pass -- his 3rd in the past 4 games.
Next comes a Chiefs offense that doesn’t present the greatest DB scoring matchup. But King’s position in the middle of the field should keep him near the action even if K.C.’s slot WRs don’t see big target volume.
