Play of the Week: Jamaal Williams, Packers ($5,400)
Volume trumps everything at RB. And Williams is a strong volume bet for this price tag now that Aaron Jones is on IR.
In his last 5 games without Jones, Williams has averaged 18.4 carries, 2.8 catches and 14.4 DraftKings points. Expect similar workload and production this weekend with only newly signed Kapri Bibbs and FB Danny Vitale behind him.
The matchup is better than it might initially look, too. The Jets sit 7th in DK points allowed to RBs but just 16th in Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed and 20th in Football Outsiders’ run defense rankings.
Pay Up For: Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys ($9,000)
The Cowboys got shut out last week … and Zeke still scored 19.8 DraftKings points. With the usage he’s been getting lately, that’s his floor. Elliott garnered another 25 touches in that Colts game, giving him 25+ in 6 straight.
Sunday sets up as a bounce-back spot for Dallas’ offense — and a massive game for Zeke. The ‘Boys are 7.5-point home favorites with a 27.5-point implied total against a Bucs squad that sits 31st in Football Outsiders’ run defense rankings, 30th in DK points allowed to RBs and 26th in Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed.
Elliott would need to be close to $11K for me to not use him in this spot.
