Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington
Blind-bid recommendation: 4-5%
Robert Griffin dislocated his left ankle in the 1st quarter of Sunday's demolition of the Jaguars. Cousins calmly stepped in, completed his 1st 12 passes, went 14-of-15 through the 1st half and finished with 250 passing yards and 2 TDs.
We heard throughout camp and the preseason about how Cousins looked comfier than Griffin in HC Jay Gruden's scheme, and he certainly had no trouble on this day. Of course, the Jaguars aren't exactly known for shutting down opposing passing games.
Fortunately for Cousins, neither are the Eagles or Giants. Those are the next 2 opponents, which gives Cousins immediate appeal at least in 2-QB formats and daily fantasy sports lineups. We've seen explosive potential in the Washington offense all offseason, and that showed up against the Jags.
Cousins is worth a look for any suddenly foundering RG3 owner.
