Jordan Howard, RB, Bears
Blind-bid recommendation: 40-50%
We'll see what comes of Jeremy Langford's ankle injury, but he had to be carted back to the locker room on Sunday night and left the stadium in a walking boot.
Howard seemed to be taking control of Chicago's backfield even before Langford's injury. The rookie entered on the team's 3rd possession and immediately ripped off a 36-yarder -- 13 yards longer than Langford's career high on 179 attempts.
Howard finished the night with 9 carries for 45 yards, plus 47 more on 4 catches (6 targets). He's looked like the Bears' best RB the past 2 weeks now and might just take the lead job and run away with it.
Dwayne Washington, RB, Lions
Blind-bid recommendation: 25-30%
Washington split carries down the middle with Theo Riddick — 10 apiece — in Detroit’s 1st game without Ameer Abdullah on Sunday at Green Bay. Washington was more effective, out-rushing Riddick 38 to 9. He also received a goal-line carry but was stuffed.
Expect similar usage going forward — and perhaps more if he continues to outplay Riddick. Week 4’s visit to Chicago should find a more favorable rushing environment.
