Week 4 Injury Summaries & Videos

Heading into Week 4 they were an insane amount of injuries. Many of the star players have missed time, including CMC, Saquon, Michael Thomas, Chris Godwin, Devante Adams, Julio Jones among many more.
Then after last week’s Covid break out at the Titan - Viking game, the Titans and Steelers game has been essentially rescheduled. This left fantasy owners shuffling as they no longer had Derrick Henry, Big Ben, James Connor, Juju, and Diontae Johnson among others.
The plot thickened on Saturday morning when the New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton tested positive for Covid. This obviously threw a monkey wrench into the Patriots game at Kansas City, originally scheduled Sunday afternoon. Was Cam the only positive on the team? The Chiefs backup quarterback Jordan Ta’amu, who was emulating Cam Newton this week, also tested positive.
Despite several Titans taking at least three days to become positive, the NFL has decided to push the Patriots-Chiefs game to Monday night, less than three days after Cam Newton’s initial positive test. The Patriots are scheduled to do one final testing Monday morning before flying out on two separate planes.
The Chiefs have a lot of fantasy stars, including Mahomes, CEH, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. Postponing this game would add additional burden to an already crazy Week 4 for fantasy.
There were a couple of significant injuries in Week 4. The Tampa Bay Bucs’ OJ Howard suffered an Achilles injury that is likely to be season-ending. Mike Evans also suffered an ankle injury early in the game, that he eventually played through and excelled. Unfortunately it appears to be a high-ankle sprain and with less than four days before their next game. There is a chance the Bucs will be without Chris Godwin, Mike Evans and OJ Howard. LeSean McCoy, who also suffered an ankle injury, may also not be available for that game.
The Los Angeles Chargers’ Austin Ekeler suffered a potentially serious leg injury. He was unable to put any weight on his leg and required a cart to help him escort the field. The initial concern is a severe hamstring injury, but unable to rule out potentially season-ending knee injury. We should get some clarity very soon.
Despite rushing for over 300 yards as a team today, the Cleveland Browns star running back Nick Chubb suffered a knee injury and did not contribute much in the game. Early video review demonstrates an MCL sprain, and he walked off under his own power. If this is a mild MCL sprain, he may only miss one to two weeks. Expect MRI results in the next 1 to 2 days.
Despite a fantastic matchup, the Arizona Cardinals’ Kenyan Drake struggled and appeared to have suffered an injury towards the end of the game.
The Dolphins’ Devante Parker left the game early with an ankle injury, only to return and put up impressive numbers.
Bengals veteran wide receiver AJ Green suffered a reported wrist injury and did not do much in today’s game. Will await further details.
The Buffalo Bills Josh Allen landed very hard on his left, non-throwing shoulder. He left for a short period of time, presumably to get x-rays which were negative since he returned to the field with a sleeve over his left shoulder. This likely means he dislocated/subluxed his left shoulder, but this should not prevent him from playing in Week 5. Cole Beasley after catching a TD, left the game after suffering a foot injury, but managed to return.
The majority of these injuries were discussed individually in the video links below.
