Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds ($4,600) and Rams RB Malcolm Brown ($4,300) will be strong cash plays if their respective starters are out. Check Shark Bites for updates on David Johnson and Todd Gurley
Leonard Fournette, Jaguars ($6,700)
Only 2 RBs are averaging more opportunities (carries + targets) per game than Fournette’s 25. We’ve seen that balloon to 31 over the past 2 weeks.
That’s just too much volume to pass up on at this price — despite a less-than-ideal matchup against the Saints. New Orleans has allowed the 4th fewest DK points to RBs. Note, though, that the Saints sit 10th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs and 17th in Football Outsiders’ run defense rankings.
Le’Veon Bell, Jets ($6,400)
Bell is 1 of the 2 RBs averaging more opportunities per game than Fournette. He’s seen a ridiculous 17.8 carries and 8 targets per game.
That’s helped Bell average 16 DK points per game over the past 3 weeks, despite playing with QBs Luke Falk and Trevor Siemian and not scoring a single TD.
Bell gets QB Sam Darnold back this week — a huge boost to the entire offense. Bell tallied 23.2 DK points on 17 carries and 9 targets with Darnold back in Week 1.
He also gets a nice matchup against a Cowboys squad that sits 20th in Football Outsiders’ run defense rankings and 21st in FO’s RB coverage rankings. Dallas has allowed 4.6 yards per carry to RBs — plus the 2nd most catches and the 4th most receiving yards.
