RB Tony Pollard paced the Dallas backfield in production in Week 3, taking 13 carries for 105 yards. He saw the Cowboys’ first attempt of the night vs. New York but was narrowly out-carried by Zeke Elliott (15-73) overall. Elliott handled 3 of Dallas’ 4 goal line rushing opportunities, punching in 1 score. And, after seeing 7 targets in Week 1, Pollard garnered only 1 against the Giants. This backfield split will remain in place going forward, with Elliott the slightly better bet for weekly carries. Pollard’s receiving game involvement should rebound a bit Sunday vs. Washington. Also note that Dak Prescott (thumb) should return over the next couple of weeks.

Titans rookie WR Treylon Burks didn't help any fantasy football teams with his 1-catch, 13-yard outing on just 2 targets in Sunday's win over the Raiders. But for the 1st time in his 3 pro games, Burks led Tennessee in routes. His total playing time has risen from 37% of snaps in the opener to 45% and then 69% vs. Las Vegas. The rookie had finished just 7th and 4th on the team in routes the previous 2 games. But he edged WR Robert Woods by 2 to lead that category in Week 3 while playing just 3 fewer snaps in total. The absence of WR Kyle Philips (concussion) might have helped, but it certainly can't explain the whole thing. Philips has lined up almost exclusively in the slot. Burks has barely spent any time there. The 1st-round pick clearly carries the most fantasy upside among Tennessee WRs. We'll see if he can start commanding the target volume to get him into fantasy football lineups.

Titans WR Kyle Phillips (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Raiders. Robert Woods, Treylon Burks and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine should operate as Tennessee's top 3 WRs in this one.

Titans WR Kyle Phillips (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. Robert Woods, Treylon Burks and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will operate as Tennessee's top 3 WRs in that one.

The Titans have ruled EDGE Bud Dupree (hip) out for Sunday's game against the Raiders. LB Zach Cunningham is questionable with a knee injury he suffered Thursday. That kept him off the field Friday. Neither should have factored significantly into your IDP plans. We'll check Cunningham's status Sunday.

Rookie WR Treylon Burks led the Titans with 6 targets in Monday night's loss to the Bills, catching 4 of them for a team-high 47 yards. He climbed to 3rd among Tennessee wideouts in playing time, 1 spot higher than Week 1. Fellow rookie WR Kyle Philips sank to 4th, playing just 23% of offensive snaps and drawing only 1 target. WR Robert Woods caught 4 of his 5 looks for 39 yards. TE Austin Hooper and WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine drew 4 targets apiece but managed only 1 reception each.

Titans WR Kyle Phillips (shoulder) is active for tonight's game vs. the Bills. The rookie got in just 2 limited practices this week but is healthy enough to suit up for this one.

Titans WR Kyle Phillips (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Bills. He got in just 2 limited practices this week. The rookie had an encouraging debut last week but shouldn't be in your fantasy plans yet, especially with this shoulder issue.

Titans WR Treylon Burks played the 4th most snaps among Tennessee wideouts in Sunday's loss to the Giants. At 37% playing time, he trailed Robert Woods (71%), Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (68%) and fellow rookie Kyle Philips (48%). Burks saw nice involvement after a less-than-stellar preseason, though, finishing 2nd on the team in targets (5). The 1st-round pick caught 3 of those for 55 yards. He saw his 1st action on the team's initial possession. And the 2 incomplete passes thrown Burks' way were an end-zone target and a deep look that could have drawn a defensive PI call. Burks will still make for an iffy option in Week 2 fantasy lineups, but it was an encouraging start. Philips led the team in targets (9), receptions (6) and receiving yards (66). Woods and Westbrook-Ikhine each caught just 1 ball for 13 yards among 2 targets apiece.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Titans EDGE Harold Landry suffered an ACL tear in Wednesday's practice. That would obviously end the season for Tennessee's top pass-rusher, an especially big blow for that defense. Landry had ranked inside the top 10 D-linemen in our IDP rankings, where he carries that designation.

The Titans are releasing QB Logan Woodside. That leaves rookie Malik Willis as the only other QB on the roster besides Ryan Tannehill. We'll see about any other moves, but it looks like the rookie will hit the season as Tannehill's backup. That puts him 1 injury away from being interesting for fantasy.

Titans WR Treylon Burks injured his wrist in Saturday night's preseason finale vs. the Cardinals. The team deemed him questionable to return, which suggests it's not a significant injury. We'll update Burks' status when we know more. It's just another bump in what's been a rocky offseason for the rookie. He won't be an early-season fantasy option but still possesses enough longer-team upside to stash on benches.

Update: Burks returned to the game, scoring a TD late in the 2nd quarter.

Titans WR Treylon Burks left Wednesday's practice early and then didn't participate Thursday. We haven't seen any report of a specific injury, and he was on an exercise bike during Thursday's practice, according to Kayla Anderson of WKRN-TV in Nashville. We'll watch for something official on this front. Burks carries plenty of risk (but still upside talent) in fantasy football drafts right now.

The hope for anyone drafting Cowboys RB Tony Pollard in a fantasy football league is that he opens the year with a significant increase in receiving work. It sounds like OC Kellen Moore wants that, too. “There is a ton of it on film. A lot of it is coming back to him,” Moore told ESPN's Todd Archer, referring to the receiving skills Pollard displayed in college. “I think he does have more than just that. He’s not going to run [just] the running back route tree, the quick game and just kind of the completion plays. He can stretch people vertically, and I think that will be a huge advantage for him to put people in conflict of how they want to handle him.” There is room for Pollard to factor into a passing game that lost Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson, and will at least see Michael Gallup (ACL) limited to open the year. Obviously, the ultimate ceiling for Pollard would include an Ezekiel Elliott injury. But he sits higher in our RB rankings than previous years because of the expected growth in his receiving role.

The Chargers on Monday activated LB Kenneth Murray from the PUP list. He opened training camp there after having surgery in April on the injured ankle that ended his 2021 season. The former 1st-round pick is no lock to reclaim a staring job this season after struggling through his 1st year under HC Brandon Staley. Kyle Van Noy and Drue Tranquill have looked like the top 2 non-edge LBs for the Chargers.

The Titans opened eyes by starting undrafted free agent RB Julius Chestnut over 4th-round rookie RB Hassan Haskins in the 1st preseason game. On Saturday night, though, Haskins got into the game 1st. RB Dontrell Hilliard started (after sitting out the preseason opener as a healthy scratch) and got the only RB touch on Tennessee's 1st drive. Then Haskins took the field for the 2nd and 3rd possessions, with Chestnut entering for the 4th. The Titans are probably still sorting out the RB depth chart behind Derrick Henry and Hilliard. We wouldn't recommend prioritizing either rookie in the handcuff range of fantasy football drafts.

After some positive buzz at the start of training camp, Titans WR Treylon Burks is heading in the wrong direction again. He was buried in the pecking order in the preseason opener and didn't play particularly well. “Just being able to take the progress — some of the improvements that we saw in practice, and carry them over into the game. I don’t think that happened enough," HC Mike Vrabel said afterward. "Treylon will have to come out here and have a good week.” Burks then missed some reps in Wednesday's joint practice with the Bucs. It's looking like we won't be able to trust the rookie in fantasy lineups early in the season. There's still longer-term upside here, but Burks shouldn't be considered more than a WR4 at this point.

Cowboys RB Tony Pollard has been "privately tutored" on playing slot receiver by offensive quality control coach Kyle Valero this offseason. "Just details like route-running, getting in and out of breaks, why we’re running certain plays and what’s the meaning behind them,” Pollard said. “We’re getting into the depth of why we’re doing the things that we’re doing, so it will make more sense in the big picture. …It just shows the hard work that I’ve put in. In the offseason, during the season, it’s not going unnoticed. Guys are noticing the things that I can do with the ball to help the team, just knowing that I can contribute more and more to the team.” Pollard ranked 3rd in yards per route run last year among 51 qualifying RBs, and the Cowboys are dangerously thin at WR to open the season. So we're buying some slot usage for Pollard. That'll give him a chance to be a fantasy starter even behind a healthy Ezekiel Elliott.

Cowboys OC Kellen Moore confirmed his plans to increase RB Tony Pollard’s role in 2022. “He’s a guy that we want to get the ball to,” Moore said of the contract-year back. “He’s had a ton of success when he does get those opportunities. I think the running back role is one thing, certainly when Zeke and him can kind of tag-team that role, but then it’s another opportunity for him to expand that role and play in some different positions, out in space and some of the things that certainly he’s capable of doing. I think the more we expand those roles, the more opportunities he’ll be able to get out there and get touches.” Pollard, with an ADP at mid-Round 7, is one of our favorite RB3 targets.

Terry McCormick of Titan Insider reports that rookie WR Kyle Philips got some slot work in with the 1st team Tuesday. We'll see whether that can develop into a full-time role. The 5th-round pick has generated a little buzz among observers since spring and brings a strong college production profile. Neither Philips nor the role appears to carry high upside, but there's at least opportunity in an offense where the top 2 WRs are expected to be another rookie (Treylon Burks) and a vet coming off an ACL tear (Robert Woods). We talked Philips -- and the rest of the Tennessee offense -- on our recent AFC South preview podcast.
