Pittsburgh Steelers Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt has been upgraded for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Originally questionable with a rib issue, he now carries no injury designation. We already expected Watt to play, after he played through a questionable tag for the same injury last week. But this indicates he's healthier. As you set your IDP lineups, though, keep in mind that we haven't gotten the same Watt since he returned from IR. You'll find Watt lower in our Week 14 IDP rankings than he sat the previous few weeks.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. He was added to the injury report and limited on Thursday and then did not practice on Friday. HC Pete Carroll said Friday that Metcalf was just getting some rest and will be fine for Sunday. Metcalf can stay penciled into fantasy lineups for now, but we'll look for further updates on his status.

Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt (rib) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. He played through the issue last week, so we'd bet on him doing so again. We'll confirm his status Sunday morning.

Ravens LB Patrick Queen (thigh) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. He closed the week with a full Friday practice, which would seem to put him on track to play. We'll confirm Queen's status Sunday morning.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with a hip issue. We'll see what he does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers.

Steelers K Chris Boswell (groin) has been designated to return from IR. We'll see if he's activated for Sunday's game vs. the Ravens, but you shouldn't be messing with Pittsburgh's kicker in Week 14 fantasy lineups.

Ravens LB Patrick Queen said Wednesday that he's "pretty sure" he'll play Sunday against the Steelers, according to Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun. Queen left last Sunday's win over the Broncos with a thigh injury. He put in a limited practice Wednesday. We'll see about his status the rest of the week.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed just 18 of 31 passes for 182 yards and 1 TD in Sunday's win over a bad Bears' defense. Rodgers' lone score went to WR Christian Watson from 14 yards out late in the 1st half. Green Bay's other 2 TDs came on the ground, from Watson and RB AJ Dillon. Rodgers didn't take a sack, as he played through a significant rib contusion. He'll now get the Week 14 to rest up ahead of a Week 15 matchup with the Rams, who hope to get Aaron Donald back for the game.

Ravens LB Patrick Queen left Sunday's win over the Broncos early with a thigh injury. We'll see about his status for Week 14 and beyond.

Update: HC John Harbaugh said Monday that it's merely a bruise, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. We'll watch his status this week.

Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson averaged a strong 5.5 yards per rush across 11 carries in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. He split carries evenly with RB Tyler Allgeier once again, though. The rookie took 10 rushes for 52 yards (5.2 per attempt). No Falcons RB logged a target. That's particularly disappointing for Patterson, who garnered 5 targets last week. That makes 7 games with 2 targets or fewer (1 or fewer in 6 of those) vs. just 2 games with more. We'll see if HC Arthur Smith says anything about targeting Patterson more after the Week 14 bye.

Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt (ribs) is active for today's game against the Falcons. Use him as planned in IDP lineups.

        11:34am UTC 12/4/22

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Falcons. He was a full-go in practice all week and should be available for his usual role behind RB Najee Harris.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Packers QB Aaron Rodgers will be playing through a "painful" rib contusion today against the Bears. The matchup is terrific and puts Rodgers in starter consideration for fantasy football lineups. Chicago allowed Jets QB Mike White 315 yards and 3 TDs (no INTs, 1 sack) on 78.6% completions just last week. But keep the risk of Rodgers' injury in mind as you weigh him against other options near him in our Week 13 fantasy football rankings.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (rib, thumb) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and will start this weekend’s game vs. the Bears. Rodgers carries elevated risk playing through these injuries, but there’s certainly upside against 1 of the league’s worst defenses.

Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt (ribs) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. He did manage limited practices throughout the week and seems likely to play. We'll check Watt's status Sunday morning -- barring some update before then.

Update: Steelers beat writer Nick Farabaugh of Pittsburgh Sports Now tweeted Friday: "Yeah, I think T.J. Watt will play."

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (rib, thumb) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's expected to play vs. the Bears this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that he expects QB Aaron Rodgers (rib, thumb) to play vs. the Bears this weekend. Rodgers said Tuesday that he expects to be out there ... so we're expecting him to be out there. The injuries will add some risk to his Week 13 fantasy profile, but Rodgers will certainly carry QB1 upside against a Chicago defense that can't stop anything.

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren told reporters Wednesday that doctors have cleared him to return from the hamstring injury that cost him Monday night's game against the Colts. He expects to play Sunday against the Falcons. That should put him ahead of Benny Snell and Anthony McFarland Jr. if Najee Harris (abdomen) is unable to go. The lack of clarity on Harris' status for that high-upside matchup makes Warren a solid waiver-wire addition where available.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (rib, thumb) did not practice on Wednesday. Rodgers has been sitting out Wednesdays since suffering that thumb injury, so this doesn't tell us much about his status for this weekend's game vs. the Bears. Rodgers said Tuesday that he plans on playing in that one. We'll see if he practices on Thursday.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said on the Pat McAfree Show on Tuesday that he got "good news" with the scans on his ribs and plans on playing vs. the Bears this weekend. "I might miss practice Wednesday but that's been the standard for the last six, seven weeks [and] go to one of my favorite places to play, Chicago, get a big win, get into the bye week and get healthy," Rodgers added. We'll keep you updated on his practice participation throughout the week.
