Everett set career highs across the board in Seattle last season with 48 catches, 478 yards and 4 TDs in 15 games, finishing 20th among TEs in PPR points per game. That was 1 spot ahead of Jared Cook, who was the Chargers' lead TE last year. Everett might not reach TE1 territory in 2022 but should bring exciting weekly upside.

The Packers re-signed TE Robert Tonyan to a 1-year deal. Tonyan is rehabbing a late-October ACL tear but should be ready for the start of the 2022 season. He came out of nowhere for a 52-586-11 line in 2020 but was sitting just 24th among TEs in PPR points through the first 7 weeks of last year. Tonyan has a shot to grab a larger target share this season with WR Davante Adams' departure.

The Panthers are giving WR D.J. Moore a 3-year extension worth $61.9 million, with $41.6 million guaranteed. That puts Moore under contract for 4 years in total. Now he just needs a QB.

The Raiders are sending DE Yannick Ngakoue to the Colts for CB Rock Ya-Sin. Ngakoue tied for 21st in the league with 63 total pressures last season, his lone year with the Raiders. The 27-year-old (as of March 31) is heading into the final year of his contract and coming off his 1st double-digit sack total since 2017. Indianapolis will be Ngakoue's 5th team since 2019. Pro Football Focus ranked Ya-Sin 34th in coverage among all 236 active CBs last year. He should claim a starting gig opposite Trayvon Mullen in Vegas, with CB Casey Hayward an unrestricted free agent. We'll see whether the Raiders make other moves at the position.

Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun Times writes that TE Cole Kmet “simply hasn’t been a game-changer, so unless there’s clear evidence that suggests he’ll get there next season, that position goes on the [offseason] shopping list.” Indeed, 2022 is probably a make-or-break year for Kmet. Last season, he failed to find the end zone and ranked mid-pack in yards per catch and yards per target. We’ll see if Chicago adds a veteran or mid-round rookie. For now, consider Kmet no more than a TE2 in early best ball drafts.

Seahawks beat writer Adam Jude of the Seattle Times writes that the team’s TE situation might be in for a “significant overhaul.” The top 2 targets, Gerald Everett and Will Dissly, are slated for unrestricted free agency. Everett just finished a middling 20th in PPR points per game among TEs. And Jude wonders if Seattle — thin at several spots — could better spend the money elsewhere. Currently, the Seahawks only have 2 top-75 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Lions want to see RB D’Andre Swift improve as a pass catcher. “When you got a dynamic running back like Swift, who can also hurt you in the passing game, you got to get better as a pass receiver,” RB coach Duce Staley said. “So, what does that mean? You gotta learn coverages. Coverages are No. 1. You got to understand what they’re trying to do to you, no matter if you’re coming out of the backfield or you’re spread out in empty. That’s one of the things I can be better at teaching him. He’s been learning. He understands. I just got to find more ways to continue to hammer the point home.” Swift caught 62 balls in 2021 after snagging 46 as a rookie. His yards per catch dipped this past year to a pedestrian 7.3, though. The 23-year-old profiles as a Round 2 pick in early 2022 fantasy football drafts.
