NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls it an "uphill battle" for Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (ankle) to play vs. the Browns this weekend. "I'm not saying he's not gonna play. I'm just saying he has to get a lot better very quickly in a short week to actually be out on the field" on Sunday, Rapoport adds. Fantasy owners should certainly be working under the assumption that it'll be C.J. Beathard at QB for Jacksonville this weekend. We'll keep you updated on Lawrence's status.

Multiple reports say Jaguars WR Christian Kirk is expected to need surgery for a core-muscle injury he suffered on the first play of Monday night's loss to the Bengals. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says "rehab for a core muscle issue is generally about eight weeks." The fantasy season, of course, has just four (in most leagues) or five weeks left. Kirk hasn't finalized the surgery plan yet and is still getting medical opinions. So you might want to wait for confirmation before dropping him. But plan on missing the Jacksonville wideout for the rest of the year. Zay Jones gets a boost in Kirk's absence, but he must also contend with QB Trevor Lawrence's injury and a challenging matchup with the Browns and Ravens the next two games. His Week 17 matchup with Carolina has also been bad for WR scoring this season. Week 16 at Tampa Bay looks good, at least. Jones currently sits just 52nd in our Week 14 PPR WR rankings. He's not likely to climb a lot higher even if Lawrence gets cleared. And he's not likely to climb beyond WR4 territory (if that high) in our Week 15 rankings. Keep all that in mind as you decide whether to go after Jones on the waiver wire this week. Rookie WR Parker Washington also came out of nowhere for a 6-61-1 receiving line against the Bengals after Kirk's injury. He might remain relevant for PPR leagues while Kirk is out, but we'd like to see at least one more game before trusting him in redraft lineups outside of deep leagues.

Jaguars HC Doug Pederson said Tuesday that WR Christian Kirk will miss time with the groin injury he suffered in Monday night's loss to the Bengals. We'll look for a more concrete timetable for Kirk's return, but we can at least rule him out for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. Rookie WR Parker Washington replaced Kirk vs. Cincinnati, catching all six of his targets for 61 yards and a score. But he's not a viable fantasy play assuming it's QB C.J. Beathard at the helm this weekend. WR Calvin Ridley, WR Zay Jones, and TE Evan Engram should pick up extra targets with Kirk out.

Jaguars HC Doug Pederson said Tuesday that QB Trevor Lawrence has a high-ankle sprain. Pederson, though, did not rule Lawrence out for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. Skill-position players usually miss multiple weeks with high-ankle sprains, but it's possible that Lawrence is back sooner -- with limited mobility, of course. Fantasy owners should still work under the assumption for now that it'll be QB C.J. Beathard starting for Jacksonville on Sunday, but we'll keep a close eye on Lawrence's status.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has a sprained right ankle and will undergo additional testing on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Lawrence was in a walking boot after the loss to the Bengals but was able to stand at his locker, per NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. We should get an update on Lawrence's injury and timeline for return later today. QB C.J. Beathard played pretty well in relief of Lawrence on Monday, completing nine of 10 passes for 63 yards. Still, Lawrence's absence would be a significant downgrade for all of Jacksonville's skill-position players.

Jaguars TE Evan Engram finally found the end zone in Week 13, finishing Monday night’s game vs. the Bengals with a team-high 9 catches on as many targets for 82 receiving yards. His 23.2 PPR points in the contest rank second among all TEs in Week 13 and stand as Engram’s highest mark of the season. As disappointing as it was to see QB Trevor Lawrence leave with a late ankle injury, fantasy managers should keep in mind that a healthy portion of Engram’s production (4 catches and 31 yards) came on Jacksonville’s final two drives with backup C.J. Beathard under center. Engram will likely remain among our top 12 weekly TEs even if Lawrence misses time.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence injured his right leg in the fourth quarter of Monday night's game vs. the Bengals. He rolled his ankle and also had his knee bent awkwardly. We'll see how the Jaguars announce the injury. Lawrence needed help getting back to the locker room. QB C.J. Beathard is Jacksonville's backup.

Update: Lawrence is officially questionable to return with an ankle injury.

Jaguars WR Christian Kirk injured his groin on a 26-yard catch on the team's first play of Monday night's game vs. the Bengals. He limped back to the locker room and is officially questionable to return. We'll update Kirk's status when we know more.

Update: Kirk has been ruled out.

Jaguars CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring) is active for tonight's game against the Bengals. He missed the past two games and hasn't played a full game since Week 6 because of the injury. Campbell also remained limited throughout the practice week. So he'll be a risky IDP play until he gets through a full game. But he's available if you waited for him in your Week 13 lineup.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne (ribs) is active for tonight's game vs. the Bengals. He was limited in practice throughout the week and listed as questionable, but we never sensed much concern about his availability for this one. The rib issue adds a bit of risk, but Etienne has exciting upside against a Cincinnati defense coughing up 4.6 yards per carry to RBs.

Jaguars CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring) is questionable for Monday night's game against the Bengals. He remained limited in practice all week. We wouldn't wait on Campbell for IDP lineups. The injury has cost him four of the past five games, and Campbell aggravated the injury in the one he did play.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne (ribs) is officially listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Bengals after a limited week of practice. HC Doug Pederson said Saturday that he expects Etienne to play. It wouldn't be a bad idea for Etienne owners to stash RB D'Ernest Johnson as an insurance policy just in case Etienne winds up inactive.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Jaguars are "optimistic" RB Travis Etienne will play Monday night against the Bengals. We're betting he'll play through the rib injury that has limited his practice participation this week, given that Etienne returned to last week's win over the Texans after sustaining the injury. But the situation adds some risk that Jacksonville lightens his workload, especially if the Jags pull ahead of a Bengals team now playing without QB Joe Burrow. Although RB D'Ernest Johnson could get more touches if Jacksonville limits Etienne, we're not betting on Johnson being a starting option for any but the deepest of leagues. Watch for updates to our Week 13 RB rankings throughout the weekend.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne (ribs) was limited in Thursday's practice. He briefly left last week's game with this injury but was able to return. He told insider Mia O'Brien that he fully expects to play vs. the Bengals on Monday night. We'll keep an eye on Etienne's status over the next few days, but he can stay penciled into Week 13 fantasy lineups.

Bills WR Gabe Davis tallied 6 receptions for 105 yards and 1 TD in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. That marked his best fantasy line of the season in an upside spot. It also marked just the fourth time all year that Davis caught more than three passes. The matchup made Davis a better option, but his lack of consistent targets and production made him a risky option. Sunday marked just the fifth time in 12 games that Davis drew more than 4 targets. He'll return from the Week 13 bye to face a tough Chiefs D in Week 14 and then a tough Dallas pass D in Week 15. Davis looks potentially usable against a bad Chargers pass D in Week 16 but then closes out the fantasy season (for most leagues) against a Patriots defense that allowed him just 1 reception in their first meeting. If your league plays through Week 17, then Davis will close out against Miami. That matchup's fine, but Davis drew just 3 targets (12% share) in the first round this season.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne managed just 56 yards on 20 carries in Sunday's win over the Texans. That marked his sixth straight outing with less than 4.0 yards per carry and the fourth straight game in which Etienne failed to score on the ground. He did still continue to dominate backfield work, handling 71.4% of Jacksonville's RB carries and 86.7% of total RB opportunities. That will keep Etienne a strong option for the Week 13 matchup with Cincinnati and in Week 17 against the Panthers. But three straight negative RB matchups lie in between: Cleveland, Baltimore and Tampa Bay. Etienne's workload will keep him in starter territory for most fantasy football teams for those weeks, but don't be afraid to sit him if you have stronger options.

Patriots QB Mac Jones was yanked in favor of QB Bailey Zappe at halftime of Sunday's game vs. the Giants. Jones went 12-of-21 for 89 yards, 0 TDs, and two INTs over the first 30 minutes, producing 0 points. We'll see how Zappe fares and what the Patriots do at QB going forward. It'll remain a situation to avoid in fantasy lineups.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne suffered a chest injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Texans and is questionable to return. We'll update his status when we know more. Etienne's absence leaves Jacksonville's backfield to D'Ernest Johnson and Tank Bigbsy.

Update: Etienne returned with a little less than five minutes to go in the second quarter.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Texans. He returned from the knee injury to play last week but remained limited in practice all this week. Jones likely still isn’t at 100% and is no better than a WR4 in fantasy lineups.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo confirms that Patriots QB Mac Jones will start today's game vs. the Giants. Garafolo adds that QB Bailey Zappe is "likely to be in the mix as well." It's unclear exactly what that means -- but it's clear that you should avoid this situation in Week 12 fantasy lineups.
