Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) put in a limited practice on Thursday. We'll see if he suits up vs. the Panthers on Sunday for the 1st time since Week 4, but Jones shouldn't be in your fantasy plans.

Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. He hasn't played since Week 4 and is only worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

Panthers QB Baker Mayfield (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Rams. QB P.J. Walker gets the start, with QB Jacob Eason backing him up.

Buccaneers S Mike Edwards (elbow) is inactive for today's game against the Steelers.

Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Steelers. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Russell Gage will be Tampa’s clear top 3 WRs.

Buccaneers S Mike Edwards (elbow) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. We'll check his status Sunday.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He went from no practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday to a full practice on Friday. That was actually his first full practice of the entire season. So Gage looks relatively healthy heading into a plus matchup vs. the Steelers’ 32nd-ranked WR defense.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hip, knee) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He got in a limited practice on Wednesday and a full practice on Friday. Godwin was limited to just 52% of Tampa’s offensive snaps last week, so there’s some risk here. But there’s also plenty of upside in an excellent matchup vs. the Steelers.

Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. He’ll miss his 2nd straight game and 4th total on the season.

The Panthers are listing QB Baker Mayfield (ankle) as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Rams. Interim HC Steve Wilks said Friday that Mayfield might be active as the backup but confirmed that QB P.J. Walker will get the start.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We'll see if he's able to play vs. the Steelers this weekend, but he's tough to like in fantasy lineups at less than 100%.

Bucs beat writer Greg Auman believes rookie TE Cade Otton “will continue to have a decent/growing role” in the offense — even when Cameron Brate is healthy. Brate is seemingly on track to face Pittsburgh following a Week 4 concussion. While boosted by 52 Tom Brady passes, Otton did well to snag 6 of 7 targets last week vs. Atlanta. We’ll closely monitor how the Bucs divvy up TE snaps in Week 6.

Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. The 33-year-old's body just can't hold up at this point. Jones is not a must-hold in shallower fantasy leagues.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hip, knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice. Godwin was scaled back to a 52% snap rate in last week's win over Atlanta, so his status over the next couple of days is worth monitoring.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. It's a new injury for Gage, who has previously dealt with hamstring and back issues. We'll track his status over the next couple of days, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Steelers.

Panthers QB Baker Mayfield suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "That means he’ll miss time, but how much will be determined by more tests and opinions," Rapoport adds. With QB Sam Darnold still out with his own ankle injury, Carolina will turn to QB P.J. Walker. The 27-year-old owns a 57% completion rate and 6.2 yards-per-attempt average on 128 NFL passes. So, as bad as Mayfield has been, don't expect Walker to be an upgrade.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin delivered a fine outing for fantasy owners in the Sunday's win over the Falcons: 6 catches for 61 yards. But he played just 52% of the offensive snaps -- way down from last week's 83%. Godwin, of course, is returning from ACL and hamstring injuries, but there was no injury announced during or after the game. The Athletic's Greg Auman speculated that the Bucs just wanted to get Godwin some rest after taking a 21-0 lead midway through the 3rd quarter. We'll keep a close eye on Godwin's practice participation this coming week.

The Buccaneers lost CB Carlton Davis (hip) and S Mike Edwards (arm) to injuries in the 2nd half of Sunday's win over the Falcons. HC Todd Bowles had no insight into either situation immediately after the game, so we'll watch for updates on their statuses this week.

Panthers QB Baker Mayfield picked up a left ankle injury in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. We saw him lipping at the end of the 1st half, but he was able to return for the 2nd. Mayfield was in a walking boot after the game and said he was headed for a Monday MRI. We should learn more tomorrow. With QB Sam Darnold still out with his ankle injury, QB P.J. Walker is Carolina's backup.

11:31am EDT 10/9/22

Bucs WR Russell Gage (back) is active for today’s game vs. the Falcons. He was added to the injury report on Saturday and listed as questionable, so he carries elevated risk as a Week 5 fantasy play. But, with Julio Jones out, Gage should be locked in as Tampa’s #3 WR as long as that back cooperates.
