Cardinals K Zane Gonzalez (back) popped up on the injury report on Friday and is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Giants. We’ll see if Arizona adds another K to the roster, but you should probably look elsewhere in fantasy lineups.
Jets RB Frank Gore (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Seahawks. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice, though, and HC Adam Gase confirmed that Gore is on track to be cleared by Sunday.Assuming that happens, he’ll resume lead-back duties for the Jets — and RB3 status in fantasy.
Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Titans after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. He’s tallied 9 catches on 10 targets from QB Mike Glennon over the past 2 weeks. But he was still a desperation fantasy play and now gets dinged for this shoulder issue.
Jets RB Frank Gore (concussion) will be limited in Wednesday's practice, HC Adam Gase said. So Gore has made some progress through the protocol and has a chance to be cleared for this weekend's game vs. Seattle. Ty Johnson figures to serve as New York's lead back if Gore doesn't play.
Saints QB Drew Brees is eligible to return from IR this week. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports, however that a Week 15 return as been "a more realistic target." Rapoport reports that Brees won't practice much Wednesday -- if at all -- but could be "ramp[ed] up" Thursday to see whether he could be ready for this Sunday's game in Philly. Keep an eye on the situation throughout the week if you're planning to start Taysom Hill in Week 14.
Ravens WR Dez Bryant tested positive for COVID and is out for tonight's game against the Cowboys. Get him out of any season-long and DFS lineups.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has been activated from the COVID list. He should step back in as Arizona's #3 WR against the Giants this weekend, pushing Andy Isabella back to 4th on the depth chart. Fitz has been a non-factor in fantasy this year, averaging 4.3 catches and 34 yards per game with 0 TDs.
Saints HC Sean Payton had no timetable for QB Drew Brees' return when asked on Monday. “I honestly wouldn't be able to give you a time frame," Payton admitted. "He’s like a handful of the other guys that are down there working their tails off to get back healthy, 100% and we'll kind of see when that is.” Look for QB Taysom Hill to get another start this weekend vs. the Eagles.
Seahawks DE Carlos Dunlap (foot) is active for today's game against the Giants. He's a strong option for IDP lineups in a high-upside matchup.
Jets RB Frank Gore exited on the 1st possession of Sunday's game against the Raiders to go for a concussion check. We'll update his status when we know more. Ty Johnson has replaced Gore as New York's lead back.
UPDATE: Gore was ruled out in the 3rd quarter.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley (knee) is active for today’s game against the Saints. He got in just 2 limited practices this week and probably still isn’t at 100%. He’s a weak fantasy play vs. New Orleans’ top-ranked RB defense.
Colts QB Philip Rivers will likely need offseason surgery to repair a ruptured plantar plate, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's basically a more severe version of turf toe that Rivers is dealing with. He played through the issue last week, throwing for 295 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT in the loss to the Titans. The injury adds some risk to Rivers' fantasy profile, but he's still a spot-start option today vs. a bad Texans defense.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley (knee) is expected to return for today's game vs. the Saints, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He got in just 2 limited practices this week, and it's unclear if he'll be ready for his usual role. That -- plus the matchup vs. the league's top-ranked RB defense -- leaves Gurley as just a RB3 or flex play.
The Lions will waive WR Marvin Hall, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. It's a semi-surprising move since Hall was playing a bunch of snaps for Detroit with WR Kenny Golladay sidelined. The Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett expects rookie WR Quintez Cephus to step into Hall's role against the Bears on Sunday, but he's still not a viable fantasy play.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley (knee) is questionable for this weekend’s game against the Saints after getting in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday. It’s unclear if he’ll be able to play his normal role if he ends up active. Try to avoid Atlanta’s backfield vs. New Orleans’ top-ranked RB defense.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald remains on the COVID list as of Friday afternoon and is unlikely to play against the Rams this weekend. With Fitz out last week, WR Andy Isabella played 56% of Arizona’s offensive snaps and saw 6 targets. He’s a WR4 play vs. a tough Rams pass defense.
The NFL is reinstating Seahawks WR Josh Gordon, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports. Glazer adds that Gordon will be eligible to play in the final 2 games of the season, so it sounds like it's not an immediate reinstatement. The timing means that you can continue to ignore Gordon in redraft leagues. Perhaps he'll make an impact in the playoffs for Seattle.
Dolphins RB DeAndre Washington has missed the first 2 practices of the week with a hamstring injury. RB Salvon Ahmed, meanwhile, has been limited with his shoulder issue. RB Myles Gaskin (knee) has also been practicing but isn't listed on the official report because he still hasn't been activated from IR. Hopefully by Friday afternoon we'll have a better idea of what Miami's backfield will look like vs. Cincinnati this weekend.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley (knee) will be limited in Wednesday's practice, HC Raheem Morris said. It's an upgrade from last week, when Gurley didn't practice at all. We'll keep an eye on his progress over the next couple of days.
Patriots WR Julian Edelman has been placed on the COVID list. He's been out since Week 7 and remains on IR with his knee injury. You can continue to ignore him in fantasy football.
