Adam Vinatieri Fantasy Football News 2019

The Colts re-signed K Adam Vinatieri to a 1-year deal. Now 46, Vinatieri will return for his 24th NFL season. He remained solid in 2018, hitting 85.2% of his attempts with a long of 54 yards.

Colts K Adam Vinatieri (groin) is active for today’s game against the Raiders. He got in a full practice on Friday, but Vinatieri still comes with more risk than usual in Week 8 fantasy lineups.

Colts K Adam Vinatieri (groin) is officially questionable for this weekend's game against the Raiders. He got in a full practice on Friday, though, so he should play on Sunday. It's a fine spot, but we might go with a K with a fully healthy groin in Week 8 fantasy lineups.

Colts HC Frank Reich said Monday that K Adam Vinatieri is dealing with a groin injury. That explains why the usually reliable veteran missed a pair of XPs in yesterday's win over the Bills. The Colts will work out Ks this week, so Vinatieri isn't a lock to play against the Raiders on Sunday. Look elsewhere for your Week 8 K.

Colts K Adam Vinatieri (groin) is active for tonight's game against the Patriots. With Indy missing T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle, Vinatieri isn't a recommended fantasy play.

The Colts list K Adam Vinatieri (groin) as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Patriots. He returned to a limited practice on Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday. The Colts have yet to add a K, so we're expecting Vinatieri to play. But you might want to roll with a safer K in Week 5 fantasy lineups.

Colts K Adam Vinatieri missed Tuesday's practice with a right groin injury. He was listed as a full participant on Monday. It's unclear if he suffered a setback or just got the day off. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

The Colts on Tuesday re-signed K Adam Vinatieri to a 2-year, $6 million deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 41-year-old missed just 3 total FG attempts over the past 2 seasons, including only 1 of 8 attempts from 50+ yards. He'll remain a top-12 fantasy kicker come 2016 draft time.

The Colts have re-signed K Adam Vinatieri to a 2-year deal.  The 41-year-old showed no signs of decline last season, connecting on 35 of 40 FGs, including 4 from 50+ yards.  Vinatieri finished among the top 10 Ks in most fantasy formats and will be a fine option again in 2014.

The Colts have re-signed K Adam Vinatieri to a 3-year deal. The 38-year-old remains an effective kicker, having drilled 26 of 28 attempts last season. Vinatieri’s range has severely diminished, but the Colts high octane offense will keep his fantasy value strong. He’s a top-10 fantasy option.

Colts K Adam Vinatieri is participating fully in the team's OTAs this week.  A knee injury kept the 14-year veteran out of last year's playoffs, but it sounds like he's back to 100%.  On this offense, he's an elite fantasy option when healthy.  But we can't call a 37-year-old kicker recovering from a bum knee a safe pick.

Colts HC Jim Caldwell is leaning towards carrying both K Adam Vinatieri and K Matt Stover on the playoff roster.  Vinatieri's knee clearly isn't at 100% yet.  You're better off avoiding this situation in NFL Playoff fantasy leagues.
Colts K Adam Vinatieri is inactive for tonight's meeting with the Jets.  As expected, Matt Stover gets the nod over a banged up Vinatieri.
The Colts starting K was downgraded from Questionablle to Out on the team's official injury report.  Viniateri will be replaced by Matt Stover for the regular seaspon finale at Buffalo.
Colts K Adam Vinatieri believes that he'll be ready to return for this Sunday's game against the Jets.  He's missed the past 9 games after undergoing knee surgery.  K Matt Stover has filled in nicely, going 9 for 11 on FGs, so we see no reason for the Colts to rush Vinatieri back. Avoid this situation in fantasy.
Colts K Adam Vinatieri underwent surgery on his right knee to repair cartilage damage.  He's out at least 6 weeks and could miss as many as 8.  We wouldn't be surprised if he was placed on the IR soon.  The team has signed veteran Matt Stover to handle kicking duties.
Colts.com is reporting that Adam Vinatieri had surgery to relieve hip discomfort.   We never recommend taking a kicker before the last round of your draft anyways, but Vinatieri is 36 years old and coming off surgery. Consider a safer kicking option.
Colts K Adam Vinatieri (knee) missed practice on Friday but remains probable. He's been nicked all year and is only the 11th-ranked kicker. That 9th or 10th round pick that some people used on Vinatieri could have been Marion Barber or Braylon Edwards...
Colts K Adam Vinatieri (groin) got healthy in the extra bye week and will kick tomorrow.
Colts HC Tony Dungy said on 1260 WNDE that Adam Vinatieri (groin) kicked well today and should start barring a sudden setback. In fantasy we'd be afraid to play him in head-to-head leagues, where he could cost you a win. There are plenty of healthy kickers available. In total-points leagues Vinatieri is a little less risky.
