Falcons lead CB Desmond Trufant is inactive for today's game against the Saints. It'll be his 4th straight game down with a hamstring injury. Trufant doesn't matter for IDP owners, but his injury only enhances for WR Michael Thomas a matchup that was already terrific.
Falcons CB Desmond Trufant (shoulder) is inactive for today's game against the Cardinals. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Trufant will need surgery for a torn pectoral muscle, which would end his season. That at least leaves an already soft secondary without its best player and the corner who was expected to shadow Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald. The veteran wideout remains a top play across fantasy football formats this week.
The Falcons have ruled S William Moore (groin) and LB Justin Durant (calf) out for Sunday's game at San Francisco. The defense will also miss CB Robert Alford (groin) and rookie DE Vic Beasley (foot). None of those player absences significantly alters the positive outlook for the Atlanta team D against Blaine Gabbert's Niners this weekend. Durant's absence raises the tackle ceiling for MLB Paul Worrilow in IDP leagues, however. CB Desmond Trufant is probable after putting in a full workout Friday. He missed some time this week with a back injury. He's not much of an IDP factor but helps the team D.
