Eric Reid Fantasy Football News 2020

Panthers S Eric Reid and DE Mario Addison (chest) are active for today's game against the Seahawks. He was a late addition to the injury report because of an illness but looks good to go for IDP lineups. Addison should start in most cases as well.

Panthers S Eric Reid is now questionable for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks because of an illness. We’ll obviously update his status Sunday morning. An active Reid will be worth playing in your IDP lineup, though, barring word that they’ll limit his playing time. Reid has on multiple occasions played through injuries that rendered him questionable and limited him to minimal or no practice. Reid has been one of the top-scoring DBs on the year and a consistent producer

Panthers S Eric Reid (ankle) is active for today's game against Washington. He put in just a limited Thursday practice this week between 2 days on the sideline, so there's obviously elevated risk. Reid has been a top-shelf IDP producer for more than a month, though, and faces a high-upside matchup in Washington QB Dwayne Haskins. Reid's worth the risk for most IDP owners.

Panthers S Eric Reid (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against Washington. Reid went from no practice Wednesday to a limited Thursday workout and then sitting out Friday. We'll see about his status Sunday morning.

Panthers CB Donte Jackson (groin) is inactive for today's game against the Buccaneers. S Eric Reid (ankle) and LB Shaq Thompson (ankle) are active after entering the day questionable. They should be OK to use in IDP lineups.

The Panthers have deemed LB Shaq Thompson (ankle), S Eric Reid (ankle) and CB Donte Jackson (groin) questionable for Sunday morning's game in London. Thompson and Reid both put in limited practices the past 2 days after beginning the week on the sideline. Jackson practiced the first 2 days but then was limited Friday. He missed the past 2 games with the groin injury and shouldn't be in IDP lineups. We'll check on the other 2 Sunday morning, when inactives for that game arrive at 8 a.m. ET.

Panthers Edge Brian Burns (wrist), DT Gerald McCoy (knee) and S Eric Reid (ankle) are active for today's game against the Jaguars. Burns carries the most IDP intrigue among the 3.

Panthers S Eric Reid got ejected in the 3rd quarter of Thursday night's game against the Steelers after a shot to the head of QB Ben Roethlisberger. Reid launched and made contact with Roethlisberger's helmet as the QB slid at the end of a scramble. We'll see if there's any further discipline for Reid, but we wouldn't bet on it.

The Panthers on Thursday signed former 49ers S Eric Reid. The move makes obvious sense for a team that moved on from Kurt Coleman in the offseason and then lost replacement Da'Norris Searcy to injury. We'd bet on Reid making his way to the starting lineup soon after Carolina's Week 4 bye and entering the weekly IDP radar. We'll see how quickly the Panthers want that to happen.

The 49ers started S Eric Reid at weak-side LB in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, and he basically split snaps with Ray-Ray Armstrong there, according to the Sacramento Bee. Reid said afterward that coaches told him the move to LB and keeping Jaquiski Tartt in Reid's vacated safety spot was the "best move for the team." The change leaves IDP owners without Reid or Armstrong as reliable options. We'll see whether MLB Reuben Foster's Sunday rib injury further impacts the situation.

Niners S Eric Reid is active for today's game at Washington, his 1st action since he sprained a knee ligament in Week 2. Bet on him starting, though we could see Jaquiski Tartt continue to work in a rotation at safety with Reid and Jimmie Ward. Reid is the top IDP option among them for this week. We'll see how the playing time goes from here.

The 49ers expect to start Jaquiski Tartt (neck) and Jimmie Ward (hamstring) at safety Thursday night against the Rams, according to Pro Football Talk. Both players were limited on the Tuesday and Wednesday injury reports and carry questionable tags into the contest. Tartt would play strong in place of Eric Reid, who's reportedly expected to miss a few games with his sprained PCL. Ward would man the free spot. We'll confirm their game statuses Thursday evening.

Niners HC Kyle Shanahan said Monday that S Eric Reid will miss at least 1 game with his sprained left knee, CSN Bay Area reports. Shanahan also said he's not sure whether S Jaquiski Tartt will be ready for Thursday's game against the Rams after suffering a neck injury in Sunday's loss at Seattle. “I know he was hurting today," Shanahan said. "We’ll see how he is when he comes in tomorrow."

Niners S Eric Reid suffered a left knee injury in the 1st half of Sunday's loss at Seattle. He re-entered the game twice but couldn't stay on the field. We should learn more this week about the severity.

The 49ers fear S Eric Reid tore his right biceps in Sunday's loss to the Patriots, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. If a Monday MRI confirms the injury, Reid is expected to need season-ending surgery. Jaquiski Tartt would likely step into Reid's starting spot if he goes out and would be on IDP radars.

Update: MRI confirmed the biceps tear. Reid is done for the season.

Niners S Eric Reid (concussion) is active and starting today against the Saints.  He'll be important to any hopes the D has of limiting the New Orleans passing game, but the Saints haven't proved overly friendly to fantasy DBs.
49ers S Eric Reid is expected to play against the Saints on Sunday, according to ESPN.com.  Reid no longer has symptoms from the concussion he suffered last week against the Panthers, his 2nd of the season.  He also tested himself with contact on Friday.  Barring a setback, the rookie will start against the pass-happy Saints.

Niners rookie S Eric Reid must go through concussion testing this week after sustaining the injury in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.  HC Jim Harbaugh said Monday that Reid "seemed to be doing good after the game," according to the San Jose Mercury News.  We'll keep an eye on the rookie's status into the weekend.  Notably, Reid said he made it through his college career at LSU without sustaining a single concussion.

The Niners jumped from 31 up to 18 to draft LSU S Eric Reid.  The former Tiger figures to start right away in FS Dashon Goldson's old slot.  Reid delivered 91 tackles in his final college season.  He grabbed 6 INTs and broke up 11 other passes over 3 seasons.  He fills a slot in which Goldson provided inconsistent fantasy value.
