Gary Jennings Fantasy Football News 2019

The Seahawks are planning to release WR Jaron Brown, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's reportedly a cap-related move after the acquisition of DE Jadeveon Clowney. It still comes as a surprise, though, because Brown was slated to open the season as Seattle's #2 WR. Assuming D.K. Metcalf (knee) isn't ready, the Seahawks will be down to Malik Turner, John Ursua and Gary Jennings behind Tyler Lockett.

Seahawks rookie WR Gary Jennings took the field Thursday for a limited practice, according to KJR Radio in Seattle. It's noteworthy because Jennings had missed early workouts with a hamstring injury. A healthy Jennings should compete for a top-3 role in Seattle's WR corps, where Tyler Lockett, David Moore and Jaron Brown have opened atop the depth chart.

The Seahawks added West Virginia WR Gary Jennings in the 4th round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Jennings broke out for 97 catches, 1,096 yards and 1 TD as a junior in 2017 and then posted a 54-917-13 line this past year, accounting for 34% of the Mountaineers’ receiving scores. The 6’1, 214-pounder did most of his damage from the slot at West Virginia but has the size and athleticism (83rd percentile SPARQ) to play on the outside, too. Jennings joins a Seahawks squad that might be losing lead WR Doug Baldwin to retirement.
