Colts LB Darius Leonard (groin) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bengals. That's an upgrade over last week, when Leonard was ruled out Friday, but he still didn't practice all week. Leonard's continued absence upgrades LB Anthony Walker, who moved up our LB rankings late this week. Elsewhere on the defense, DE Justin Houston (hip) and DE Denico Autry (ankle, knee) are questionable for the game -- and each had goofy practice weeks. Houston missed practice Wednesday and Friday, sandwiching a limited Thursday. Autry sat out the first 2 days but then returned for a full Friday workout. We'll check the status for both players Sunday morning. It's an upside matchup for all Colts pass-rushers against a Cincinnati offense that has allowed the most sacks in the league.
Colts LB Anthony Walker (ankle) is active for today's game against the Browns. He'll carry some re-injury risk but also tackle upside against the run-favoring Cleveland offense.
The Colts have ruled LB Darius Leonard (groin) out for Sunday's game against the Browns. LB Anthony Walker is questionable with an ankle injury that arose during the practice week. He sat out Thursday before putting in a limited Friday. We'll check his status Sunday afternoon. Colts LB Bobby Okereke -- who opened the week not practicing because of a thumb injury -- was off the injury report by the end of the week after full workouts Thursday and Friday. He's the best IDP bet among Colts LBs this week.
Colts LB Bobby Okereke underwent thumb surgery Monday for an injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Bears. We'll see whether he can rebound in time to play against the Browns this Sunday. If Okereke doesn't go, Indy will choose among Zaire Franklin, Jordan Glasgow and E.J. Speed to fill in. The crowd in contention makes it an IDP situation worth steering away from. This injury plus Darius Leonard's groin injury add value to LB Anthony Walker on waivers. We'll keep an eye on practice reports for Colts LBs this week.
Colts LB Darius Leonard left in the 1st half of Sunday's win over the Bears with a groin injury and did not return. We'll see about his status heading into Week 5. Anthony Walker and Bobby Okereke finished out the Week 4 contest as the full-time LBs, tallying 11 and 8 tackles, respectively. Each would be in play for IDP lineups if Leonard misses further time.
As the team feared, Colts FS Malik Hooker suffered a torn Achilles' tendon in Sunday's win over the Vikings. It'll be the 2nd time in his 4 seasons that Hooker has finished on IR. He tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee as a 2017 rookie. The Colts declined his 5th-year option this past offseason, so Hooker will hit free agency in March. Indy turned to rookie Julian Blackmon to fill in for Hooker against Minnesota.
Colts DE Justin Houston (calf) is active for today's game against the Vikings. Houston missed practice both Thursday and Friday with the issue, so he'll likely be playing at less than 100%. There's some risk, though he remains in play for IDP lineups. CB Rock Ya-Sin is inactive, a surprise scratch after he didn't appear on the injury report all week. Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports that Ya-Sin has an illness (not COVID).
Colts DE Justin Houston is questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings. He missed practice Thursday and Friday with a calf injury and doesn't look like a good bet for IDP lineups this weekend. We'll update his status Sunday morning.
Colts CB Kenny Moore strained his groin on Aug. 17 and has missed practice since. According to Zak Keefer of The Athletic, though, Moore "has been seen working intensely with athletic trainers on the sideline" during recent workouts and has "a good chance" of returning to practice this week. Moore appears on track to be ready for the Sept. 13 opener. We'll certainly keep an eye on that, but Moore looks fine to draft in DB2 range in your IDP leagues.
Colts CB Kenny Moore (ankle) is inactive for today's game against the Jaguars.
Colts LB Darius Leonard returned to full practices Thursday and Friday and finished the week off the injury report. So he should be good to go for IDP lineups in Week 17. S Khari Willis (shoulder) is doubtful after missing practice all week. CB Kenny Moore (ankle) returned to limited practice Friday after missing the previous 2 days and is questionable for the game against Jacksonville. Moore makes for a shaky bet after missing the past 3 games.
The Colts have several defensive starters who sat out practice Wednesday and will bear watching this week. LB Darius Leonard (back) joined the injury report after not appearing on it last week. CB Kenny Moore remained out with the ankle injury that cost him the previous 3 games. DL Denico Autry remained out with the concussion that kept him out of Week 16. S Khari Willis (shoulder) sustained his injury in Sunday's win over the Panthers. All will bear watching on the IDP front, and their statuses could impact the outlook for the Indy team defense against the Jaguars on Sunday. With both teams playing for nothing this week, don't be surprised if Indy deactivates any starters with even minor injury questions
