The Bills added Ole Miss TE Dawson Knox in the 3rd round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Knox is all projection after totaling just 39 catches across 4 college seasons. The 6'4, 254-pounder blew up his Pro Day, though, clocking a 4.59-second 40 time and earning an 84th percentile SPARQ score. Knox joins Tyler Kroft and Jason Croom in Buffalo's TE room.
The Bills have signed TE Tyler Kroft to a 3-year, $18.75 million deal. It (laughably) makes Kroft the league's 15th highest-paid TE in average annual salary. The 2015 3rd-rounder caught 42 balls and scored 7 TDs back in 2017 but has totaled just 25 grabs and 1 score in his other 37 career games. He tested as a 37th percentile athlete at the 2015 Combine. We were hoping the Bills would give WR-turned-TE Jason Croom a shot to win the lead job, but Kroft's contract makes him the heavy favorite. He remains an unexciting fantasy option.
