Niners DE Dee Ford is active for tonight's game against the Browns. He made it onto the field for just 1 limited practice this week while dealing with a quad injury and has been hampered by multiple issues all season. S Jimmie Ward is also active for the 1st time this season. We'll see whether he takes the FS job back from Tarvarius Moore.
Niners DE Nick Bosa, DE Dee Ford and S Jaquiski Tartt are active for today's game against the Steelers. All entered the day questionable and are low-level IDP options at best. Ford, in particular, has been struggling through his return from a preseason knee sprain and should not be in fantasy football lineups. DB Jimmie Ward, meanwhile, is inactive once again. That keeps Tarvarius Moore in play for deep IDP leagues.
49ers safeties Jaquiski Tartt (neck) and Jimmie Ward (hamstring) are both active for tonight's game against the Rams. Both were reportedly expected to start but entered the day officially questionable. If you're looking to use 1 in your IDP lineup, opt for Tartt. The injury situations obviously add risk to both, though.
The 49ers expect to start Jaquiski Tartt (neck) and Jimmie Ward (hamstring) at safety Thursday night against the Rams, according to Pro Football Talk. Both players were limited on the Tuesday and Wednesday injury reports and carry questionable tags into the contest. Tartt would play strong in place of Eric Reid, who's reportedly expected to miss a few games with his sprained PCL. Ward would man the free spot. We'll confirm their game statuses Thursday evening.
49ers S Jimmie Ward (hamstring) is active and will make his season debut today against the Seahawks. He sat out the opener with the injury. Ward will carry upside at full strength, but it's too soon to trust him in IDP lineups -- especially in a negative matchup for DB scoring. His return casts doubt on Jaquiski Tartt's usability in IDP lineups as well.
Niners DB Jimmie Ward is out for today's game against the Panthers, as expected. He entered the weekend doubtful with a hamstring injury. Ward will make for a risky IDP option until he gets through a game healthy.
Niners S Jimmie Ward suffered a hamstring injury Thursday in the team's conditioning test and has been placed on the PUP, according to CSN Bay Area. HC Kyle Shanahan said they don't believe the injury is serious but that they want to "be smart" about when to return him to the field. The team is reportedly viewing Ward's injury as a "week to week" situation. Jaquiski Tartt will fill in while Ward is out.
Niners CB Jimmie Ward left Sunday's game early with a shoulder injury and did not return. We'll check on his status for Week 16 heading into a Saturday afternoon meeting with the Rams.
49ers CB Jimmie Ward (concussion) is active for today's game against the Dolphins and ready to use as you normally would. OLB Aaron Lynch (ankle) is inactive after entering the day questionable.
CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco reports that 49ers CB Jimmie Ward is "week to week" with a quad strain. Maiocco reports that Ward will likely be re-evaluated after San Francisco's Thursday night game in Week 5. You can go ahead and dump Ward for an available option in most IDP formats.
The 49ers picked Norther Illinois S Jimmie Ward in the 1st round of the NFL draft. NFL Network's Mike Mayock called Ward a "natural centerfielder" who's not afraid to come down in the box. "He answered the bell every game in college," Mayock added. Ward should be able to beat out veteran free-agent addition Antoine Bethea to start next to S Eric Reid, last year's 1st-rounder. Ward looks like a better IDP bet by virtue of his in-the-box play.
