Johnathan Joseph Fantasy Football News 2019

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (neck) is inactive for today's game against the Jaguars.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. He's dealing with a new neck injury but managed limited practices all week. We'll check his status Sunday morning.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (hip) is active for today's game against the Eagles. Use him as normal in your IDP lineups.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph is questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles. A hip injury limited his participation for Wednesday and Thursday before an illness kept Joseph out altogether Friday. We'll check his status Sunday morning. The hip is a new issue, but Joseph played 71 of 75 snaps in last Saturday's win over the Jets.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (neck) is active for today's game against the Colts after arriving with a questionable tag. There's some durability risk, but he also carries big IDP upside this week.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts after leaving last week early with a neck stinger. He put in limited practices all week and is reportedly expected to play. We'll need to check his status Sunday morning, though. Joseph carries nice upside in the matchup with Indy if he seems to be a full-go. There's bound to be some durability risk, though.

Texans lead CB Johnathan Joseph (shin) is active for today's game against the Colts after entering the day questionable. His presence doesn't significantly alter the fantasy outlook for anyone on either side of the matchup.

Texans OLB Whitney Mercilus (back) and CB Johnathan Joseph (ribs) are inactive for today's game against the Jaguars. Mercilus' absence hurts the Houston pass rush but certainly doesn't take the defense out of fantasy consideration in a high-ceiling matchup.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (ribs) is inactive for today's game against the Colts. DE/OLB Jadeveon Clowney (elbow) and ILB Brian Cushing (back) are active after entering the day questionable. Neither makes for a strong IDP play, but both are available if you need them.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph said Monday that he has passed through the league's concussion protocol and will be ready to play at Cleveland in Week 11. Joseph suffered the injury early in the Week 9 loss to Philly. Houston will still be down its other starting CB, Kareem Jackson, who is expected to miss at least another 2-3 weeks with a knee injury also suffered in the Philly loss. Jackson's absence shouldn't alter the fantasy outlook for the Texans' team D and doesn't significantly impact the value for any Browns offensive player.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph is active against the Seahawks for Week 4.  He showed up as questionable on the injury report after putting in some limited practices because of a toe injury.  He's not a strong IDP option against a run-heavy Seattle offense.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph practiced for a 2nd straight day Friday and pronounced himself "absolutely" ready for Monday night's clash with New England, according to the Houston Chronicle. Joseph missed the past 2 games with a hamstring strain. He presents some decent IDP upside against a Patriots team that has provided more DB tackles than any other. Tom Brady doesn't let a ton of his passes get defensed, though. So that ceiling isn't too high. Joseph's return can only help Houston's team D. He's the team's #1 cover man.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (hamstring, groin) expects to return for Monday night's showdown with the Patriots.  "I'm good to go," he said after Friday's practice.  It's bad news for WR Brandon Lloyd, who hasn't topped 45 yards since Week 6.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.  Houston has been torched through the air without Joseph this season.  We'll see if QB Jake Locker and WR Kenny Britt can take advantage this weekend.

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph is inactive for today's game against the Lions.  It makes it a less daunting matchup for WR Calvin Johnson and QB Matt Stafford.

CB Johnathan Joseph agreed Thursday to a free-agent deal with the Texans. The former Bengal instantly becomes arguably the best CB in the franchise's brief history. Joseph has picked off at least 3 passes in 3 of the past 4 seasons despite only once starting every game. His top season came in 2009, when Joseph tallied 69 total tackles, 6 INTs and 20 breakups. His signing is probably better news for the fantasy profile of CB Kareem Jackson, though. The 2010 rookie graded out as one of the league's worst cover men and will be an attractive target for opposing QBs. Jackson must hang on to a starting job, though. Joseph's signing also solidifies Glover Quin's move to S. Joseph, meanwhile, doesn't look special as an IDP and will have to rack up the INTs to deliver in big-play formats.

11:56am EDT 10/24/10

Bengals CB Johnathan Joseph (ankle) is inactive for today's game against the Falcons.  WR Roddy White figures to be shadowed by CB Leon Hall, but Joseph's absence is good news for QB Matt Ryan.
