Seahawks S Kam Chancellor announced Sunday that his neck injury is not allowing him to return to the field. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the safety has yet to formally retire. But Chancellor said in a lengthy Twitter post that it's "time for the next chapter." He has been out since last November with the neck injury. Seattle is sure to miss Chancellor but does already have Bradley McDougald, who started the final 9 games of 2017. If you're a DS Insider, then you might have already noticed that we had McDougald projected to start next to Earl Thomas this season (anticipating this scenario). McDougald looks like a big-time sleeper for IDP drafts this season.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor missed the final 7 weeks of 2017 with a neck injury, an injury he apparently has yet to put behind him. According to John Boyle of Seahawks.com, Chancellor is "expected to have more tests later this summer" that might determine whether he can play in 2018. If Chancellor remains out, Bradley McDougald will present significant IDP upside as the SS in a defense that shed DL Michael Bennett, DT Sheldon Richardson, DE Cliff Avril and CB Richard Sherman this offseason. We'll see how this story develops.
The Seahawks have ruled S Kam Chancellor out for Monday night's game against the Falcons with a neck injury. HC Pete Carroll said that no decisions have been made about his season beyond that. S Bradley McDougald is expected to start in Chancellor's place against the Falcons.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor left Saturday's loss to the Cardinals with an ankle injury. He returned in the 2nd half. That would seem to make him a solid bet for Week 17, when Seattle will remain in play for the #2 seed in the NFC. We'll keep an eye on his status this week, though.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor (groin) put in a full practice Wednesday, his 1st since suffering the injury in the lead-up to Week 6. Chancellor has missed the past 4 games but appears to be on track to play this Sunday at New England.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor (groin) will miss his 4th straight game Monday night against the Bills. He has yet to even return to the practice field. Kelcie McCray will continue to start in Chancellor's spot but gets a negative IDP scoring matchup in Buffalo.
The Seahawks have ruled DE Michael Bennett (knee) out for Sunday's game at New Orleans. Bennett suffered the injury back in Week 6 and sat out practice this week, but he started last week's game at Arizona and played 81 snaps. So this comes as a surprise. DE Frank Clark should see significantly more snaps in Bennett's absence, though the Saints matchup isn't great for sack upside. ESPN's Sheil Kapadia reports that Bennett will get his knee checked Monday for a cartilage issue that might require surgery. Seattle will also miss S Kam Chancellor (groin) this weekend for the 3rd straight game, leaving Kelcie McCray to start in his place again.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor (groin) is inactive for tonight's game against the Cardinals, as expected. He hasn't been close to full strength since suffering his injury last Thursday. S Kelcie McCray will start in his place for the 2nd straight game.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor is doubtful for Sunday night's game at Arizona with the groin injury that cost him last week's game. Chancellor missed practice every day this week with the injury he suffered last Thursday. Kelcie McCray's likely to start in his place again.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor is inactive for today's game against the Falcons. He suffered a groin injury in practice Friday. We'll see about his practice status next week.
The Seahawks added SS Kam Chancellor to the injury report Friday with a groin issue and list him as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. That came after Chancellor participated fully Wednesday and Thursday, so it appears he suffered the injury in practice Friday. We'll check on his Sunday status, but IDP owners should plan to go in a different direction at DB.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor sat out Sunday's intrasquad scrimmage with a groin issue, but the Seattle Times reports that he's expected to return to the field Tuesday. That makes it sound more like the team being cautious than Chancellor dealing with a particular injury. The groin gave Chancellor some trouble early last season, ranking among several injuries that interrupted his 2015. As long as he proves healthier through the preseason, the veteran should be on pace for at least IDP relevance. We'll keep an eye on his participation throughout August, though, given the recent injury history.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor (pelvis) is questionable for Sunday's finale at Arizona. He has trended toward being ready to play, going from not practicing Wednesday to a limited workout Thursday and full participation Friday. Chancellor still doesn't look exciting for IDP use in a negative scoring matchup even if he's active.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor (pelvis) is inactive for today's game against the Rams. Seattle will have DE Michael Bennett active, however, and you can use him as you normally would in your IDP league.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor (pelvis) and DE Michael Bennett (toe) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. Chancellor missed practice all week and looks like a poor bet for your IDP lineup. Bennett put in a full practice Friday after limited work the previous 2 days. He seems likely to play but carries some risk with an injury that has bugged him for a while.
Seahawks S Kam Chancellor (pelvis) is inactive for today's game against the Browns. That doesn't significantly impact the outlook for the Seattle team D in fantasy.
