The Dolphins have ruled out LB Kyle Van Noy (groin) for today's game against the Jets. DE Shaq Lawson (shoulder) is active but not a strong IDP option.
Dolphins LB Kyle Van Noy (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. Van Noy missed Wednesday's practice but returned for limited workouts Thursday and Friday. We'll check his status Sunday morning. DE Shaq Lawson (shoulder) is also questionable. He put in limited practices all week.
The Dolphins will be signing LB Kyle Van Noy to a 4-year, $51 million deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Van Noy produced LB3-level numbers his first 2 years in New England before slipping last season. His fantasy points per game dipped each of the past 2 seasons, though. Van Noy turns 29 this month and should still be in his prime. In Miami, he'll play under HC Brian Flores, who served as New England's LBs coach in Van Noy's first 2 Patriots campaigns. Expect Van Noy to play full-time snaps for the Dolphins and continue to see plenty of use as a blitzer.
Patriots LB Kyle Van Noy is a surprise inactive for tonight's game against the Steelers. Van Noy didn't show up on the injury report at all this week and had been working with the starters. We'll see what's up with this situation and how the LB playing time breaks down for the Pats against Pittsburgh.
Update: It appears Van Noy is missing the game because his wife is giving birth.
Patriots LB Kyle Van Noy is active for today's game against the Jets after missing the past 3 contests with a calf injury. He's tough to trust in that 1st game back, however, with his outlook further muddied by the 12-degree weather in Foxborough. IDP owners should try to go in a different direction.
Patriots LB Kyle Van Noy (calf) is inactive for today's game against the Bills. Elandon Roberts was the only New England LB to play at least 50% of the snaps with Van Noy out last week. Roberts is your best bet if you need/want a Patriots LB. This is not a situation to bet heavily on in your IDP lineup this week, though.
The Patriots have ruled LB Kyle Van Noy (calf) out for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Patriots LB Kyle Van Noy is inactive for tonight's game against the Dolphins. If that leaves you without a LB, Patriots Eric Lee can be an emergency fill-in.
Patriots LB Kyle Van Noy (calf) is active for today's game against the Bills. Use him as you normally would in your IDP lineups for a high-upside matchup.
The Lions worked 2nd-round LB Kyle Van Noy as a standup pass rusher during his first rookie camp. "I fit in all sorts of sets," Van Noy told Mlive.com. "The coaches are going to put me at different places and I'm excited about it." Detroit traded up 5 spots in Round 2 to draft the former BYU LB, who racked up 26 career sacks with a single-season high of 13 in 2012. Van Noy figures to nail down an outside starting job, and the pass-rush duties could deliver some sneaky fantasy value in the right format. Van Noy won't sit high in the 2014 IDP rankings but will be interesting to watch on the waiver wire.
The Lions spent the 40th pick of the 2014 NFL draft on BYU LB Kyle Van Noy. The former Cougar put up impressive numbers in the big-play stat categories in college, including a 13-sack 2012 and 7 career INTs. He'll likely start at strongside LB in Detroit, however, which hasn't been a productive spot in IDP terms recently.
