Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Bills. It’ll be his 1st action since Week 14. WR Jakeem Grant (ankle) is inactive, leaving Mack Hollins and Lynn Bowden as Miami’s #2 and #3 WRs.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) is inactive for tonight's game vs. the Raiders. It's a surprise after he was seemingly trending toward playing. WR Jakeem Grant (hamstring) is active tonight and joins Lynn Bowden and Mack Hollins as Miami's top 3 WRs.
Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant is considered "week to week" with a hamstring injury suffered in the loss to the Chiefs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. So don't expect Grant to play vs. the Patriots on Sunday. We're still waiting for an update on the injury that knocked WR DeVante Parker out of yesterday's game. Rookie WR Lynn Bowden took advantage of those injuries, hauling in 7 of 9 targets for 82 yards vs. Kansas City.
The Raiders have traded Lynn Bowden and a 6th-round pick to the Dolphins for a 4th-rounder. The move points to a disappointing camp from Bowden, who joined the Raiders in the 3rd round of this year's draft. Barry Jackson says Miami sees upside to Bowden as a WR, rather than the RB role Vegas drafted him to play. This development chips away at even the long-term fantasy outlook for Bowden. It helps the 2020 outlook for Jalen Richard, however, and could point to more receiving work for Raiders RB Josh Jacobs.
The Raiders selected Kentucky’s Lynn Bowden in the 3rd round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Bowden was asked to move to QB for the final 8 games of this past season, ultimately earning the Paul Hornung Award as the nation's most outstanding all-purpose player. He finished the year with 403 passing yards, 1,468 rushing yards and 348 receiving yards. Bowden spent his first 2 years on campus at WR, tallying 17 catches for 210 yards as a freshman and then leading the team with 67 catches, 745 yards and 5 TDs as a sophomore. He also averaged 22.9 yards per kick return and 22.1 yards per punt return with 2 TDs over the past 3 years. A hamstring injury prevented Bowden from working out at the Combine. The Raiders interestingly announced him as a RB when they picked him. We’ll keep a close eye on how they plan to deploy Bowden.
