The Patriots have agreed to a 4-year, $56 million deal with EDGE Matt Judon, according to multiple reports. The deal includes $32 million guaranteed over the 1st 2 years, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Judon produced 8, 7, 9.5 and 6 sacks over 4 seasons of starter-level duty with the Ravens. He sports double-digit sack upside, but his production dipped last year vs. a 2019 high point that garnered him the 2020 franchise tag. New England's financial commitment certainly shows the Pats believe in his rush ceiling. The Patriots posted the 6th-fewest sacks and the 8th-lowest sack rate in the league last year. But they also delivered the 5th-highest pressure rate. Judon should quickly become the team's top pass rusher and might be in a better situation than New England's 2020 sack total suggests. We'll see how the rest of the edge rotation settles in around him.
Ravens OLB Matt Judon (calf) is questionable for Sunday night's game against the Patriots. After opening the week missing practice, Judon put in a limited Thursday workout and participated in full on Friday. That bodes well for his game status. Unfortunately, the Sunday night kickoff leaves you few options if you hope to wait for him. Baltimore also ruled out DE Calais Campbell (calf), as expected.
The Ravens have activated all the players who landed on the COVID list earlier this week for close contact with CB Marlon Humphrey. That means ILB Patrick Queen, OLB Matt Judon and S DeShon Elliott -- among others -- will be available for Sunday's game against the Colts. Humphrey remains out, of course, as the only one who tested positive.
This will be an interesting week for the Ravens defense. CB Marlon Humphrey landed on the COVID list at the beginning of the week after testing positive. His list of close contacts includes OLB Matt Judon, ILB Patrick Queen, S DeShon Elliott and ILB L.J. Fort -- as well as reserve ILB Malik Harrison. They all must isolate for at least 5 days. Whoever passes COVID testing at the end of that phase will still be available to play Sunday against the Colts. We'll certainly be watching for the sake of IDP lineups, as well as the Baltimore team defense's outlook.
Ravens OLB Matt Judon got ejected in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's loss to the Steelers for making contact with an official. He said after the game that the contact was accidental, coming when Judon tried to free his arm amid some post-play fighting -- but also took responsibility. We don't expect to see Judon suspended from any further game action.
The Ravens have used the franchise tag on OLB Matt Judon. Designating him at OLB will mean a lower tag salary than if the Ravens tagged him as a DE, which could be an issue. Judon has delivered 8, 7 and 9.5 sacks the past 3 seasons and played a career-high 80.9% of the defensive snaps last season. He'll turn 28 in mid-August.
Ravens EDGE Matt Judon (ankle) is active for today's game against the 49ers. He's fine to use as you normally would in IDP lineups.
Ravens OLB Matt Judon (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers. He put in a full practice Friday, so we'd bet on him playing. But we'll update Judon's status Sunday morning.
Ravens OLB Matt Judon is active for tonight’s game against the Chargers. He came in questionable but finished the week with a full practice and looks OK for normal IDP usage
Ravens ILB C.J. Mosley is questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos. He's dealing with a bone bruise in his right knee. Mosley returned to practice Thursday but then sat out again Friday. He'll be tough to trust for a normal snap allotment even if active. We moved Mosley down our Week 3 LB rankings. Ravens OLB Matt Judon (hamstring) is also questionable for the game, but he put in a full practice Friday after being limited the previous 2 days. Judon appears on track to play.
