Myles Garrett Fantasy Football News 2020

The NFL has reinstated Browns DE Myles Garrett. The 24-year-old had, of course, been suspended since he hit Steelers QB Mason Rudolph in the head with Rudolph's helmet near the end of their Nov. 14th (Week 11) game. Garrett lost 6 games plus money to the suspension, but nothing about his history suggests that fantasy owners need to worry about behavior issues going forward. Garrett remains a top-shelf fantasy D-lineman, who was on pace for 16 sacks at the time of his suspension.

The NFL on Friday suspended Browns DE Myles Garrett "at a minimum for the remainder of the regular season and postseason." The league will also require that Garrett meet with the commissioner's office before he is reinstated. We'd bet on the NFL allowing Garrett to start the 2020 season on time. But you should obviously go ahead and dump him from any redraft IDP rosters. DE Chad Thomas should see continued playing time in Garrett's absence. He has filled in at left DE for Olivier Vernon (knee) the past 2 weeks.

Browns DE Myles Garrett didn't travel with the team to London and will not play Sunday morning against the Vikings. That takes a strong-performing IDP out of contention and only helps Vikings QB Case Keenum in an already-decent matchup. He's worth a look as a cheap DFS option against a Cleveland D that Football Outsiders rates #2 in run D.

The Browns have entered DE Myles Garrett into the concussion protocol after he reported to team facilities Tuesday with concussion-like symptoms. That certainly doesn't bode well for his availability for Sunday morning's game against the Vikings. We'll see how the rookie progresses. Carl Nassib would likely start in Garrett's place if he misses time.

The Browns have ruled OLB Jamie Collins (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Colts. DE Myles Garrett (ankle) is officially doubtful for the game but didn't practice at all this week. Garrett is reportedly nearing a return, however.

The Browns announced Thursday that DE Myles Garrett suffered a high right ankle sprain in Wednesday's practice. They expect him to miss at least 2 weeks. We'll see beyond that, as high ankle sprains can often linger.

Browns DE Myles Garrett left Wednesday's practice with a right ankle injury. Cleveland.com reports that he's likely headed for an MRI and that the team is concerned he could miss multiple weeks. That would obviously be a big blow to an already questionable defense. We'll see about the official diagnosis.

The Browns announced Saturday that DE Myles Garrett has a lateral sprain in his left foot and is expected to be ready when training camp starts in late July. That's good news compared with potentially more serious injuries, but we'll still need to watch that foot -- along with the chance of any compensatory issues -- as camp gets rolling.

Browns DE Myles Garrett suffered a left foot injury in practice Wednesday that was still being evaluated as of Thursday, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. The team had held Garrett out of some earlier OTA workouts because of a sore foot. A high left ankle sprain cost him 2 games in his final college season. This is a worrisome situation for the rookie's 2017 IDP potential, though it shouldn't affect his long-term outlook for dynasty leagues.

The Browns defied the storylines and chose Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett 1st in the 2017 NFL Draft. Garrett will likely play an OLB spot for Cleveland, which dings his IDP value a bit. But he certainly has the talent to deliver plenty of fantasy football production there. He should also have a clear path to lots of immediate playing time. Expect Garrett to sit near the top among defensive players when our dynasty rookie rankings hit the site.
