The Rams selected Florida WR Van Jefferson in the 2nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Scouts consider Jefferson 1 of the top route runners in this class. “He’s got size, really good quickness and route savvy,” an anonymous scout told The Athletic’s Bob McGinn. “He can separate. He’s going to be a really good pro.” Jefferson’s college career got off to a strong start when he ranked top 3 on Ole Miss in catches (49), yards (543) and TDs (3) as a redshirt freshman — notably finishing ahead of A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf. He flattened out from there, though. Jefferson posted a 42-456-1 line in 2017 before transferring to Florida, where he totaled 84 catches, 1,160 yard and 12 TDs over the past 2 seasons. He posted weak market shares in 2019 and ranked 24th in yards per route run among 30 of this year’s top WR prospects. Jefferson is also already 23 years old and is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery to repair a Jones Fracture in his right foot. He joins Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds in Los Angeles. Kupp and Reynolds are both set to be free agents after this season, while Woods is only signed through 2021.
Rams WR Robert Woods is active for tonight’s game against the Ravens. He re-joined the team on Thursday and practiced all week, so expect him to play his usual every-down role tonight.
Rams WR Robert Woods rejoined the team Thursday and doesn't appear on the final injury report, but we don't know yet whether he'll play Monday against the Ravens. "It's looking good, but like we've said ... we're just taking it a day at a time," HC Sean McVay said Saturday, according to Pro Football Talk. "Things are looking good, but out of respect for him, with everything that is going on we just said, 'Let's just take it one day at a time, keep the main thing your family." McVay indicated it'll be up to Woods whether he can play Monday night without "inhibiting his ability" to tend to the family situation. We'll keep an eye out for early Sunday updates. For now, it seems like we'll have Woods back for fantasy use.
Rams WR Robert Woods told the media on Thursday that he's planning to play against the Ravens on Monday night, according to ESPN's Lindsey Thiry. Woods re-joined the team and practiced on Thursday. We'll continue to keep an eye on the situation, but he can be penciled into fantasy lineups for now.
Rams WR Robert Woods re-joined the team on Thursday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "TBD on his game status, though," Rapoport adds. We'll continue to keep an eye on Woods' status for Monday night's game against the Ravens.
Rams WR Robert Woods was still away from the team on Wednesday, HC Sean McVay said. We still don't have any details on the situation and can't consider Woods a lock to be back for Monday night's game against the Ravens. We'll continue to update his status.
Rams WR Robert Woods is a surprise inactive for tonight's game against the Bears due to a personal issue, according to the team. We'll look for more details, but get Woods out of fantasy lineups. With Brandin Cooks (concussion) also out, Los Angeles is down to WRs Cooper Kupp, Josh Reynolds, Mike Thomas and JoJo Natson.
Monday night's Chiefs-Rams game has been moved to Los Angeles. The game was originally scheduled for Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, but there were concerns about the field conditions there. Consider the move back to U.S. soil good news for both offenses -- especially the Rams playing at home.
The Rams have listed WR Cooper Kupp (knee) as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Packers. He didn’t practice all week and isn’t expected to play. That’ll again leave Robert Woods, Brandin Cooks and Josh Reynolds as Los Angeles’ top 3 WRs.
The forecast for today's Rams-Broncos game calls for 1-3 inches of snow and temperatures in the 20s. It sounds like much of the snow will come before kickoff, though, and winds will be just 5-10 mph. We're not altering our projections for this game.
Rams WRs Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods are active but were not listed as starters for today's finale against the 49ers. Neither guy is likely to play. The team announced WR Josh Reynolds and Pharoh Cooper as the starters.
Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) is not listed on the final injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday. It looks like Woods is ready to play his usual role against the Seahawks this weekend. He was sitting 14th among WRs in PPR points through Week 11.
Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He's expected to play against the Seahawks this weekend, but it'd be nice to see him get in a full workout on Thursday or Friday. Woods has been sidelined since Week 11.
Rams HC Sean McVay confirmed on Monday that WR Robert Woods (shoulder) is "on track" to play against the Seahawks this weekend. Week 15 has been the target for Woods, and he returned to a limited practice this past Friday. There's always some risk with guys coming off multi-week absences, but Woods will be worth WR3 consideration vs. a banged-up Seattle secondary.
Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) is inactive for today's game against the Eagles. He returned to practice on Friday, putting him on track to play next weekend. Cooper Kupp, Sammy Watkins and Josh Reynolds will serve as the Rams’ top 3 WRs again today.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rams WR Robert Woods is not expected to play today against the Eagles. He has missed the past 2 games with a shoulder injury but enters the day questionable after returning to a limited practice Friday. Without Woods, the Rams would continue to lean on WRs Cooper Kupp and Sammy Watkins in a matchup that should favor passing over rushing. Rookie Josh Reynolds should get another start in Woods' place if Woods does turn up inactive.
Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Eagles after returning to a limited practice on Friday. It gives him an outside chance to play, but HC Sean McVay has previously said that Week 15 is Woods’ most likely return date. We’ll look for an update on Woods on Sunday morning, but he shouldn’t be in your Week 14 fantasy plans right now.
Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) won't play against the Cardinals this Sunday and is likely also out for Week 14, according to HC Sean McVay. "A couple weeks from now is probably what's the most realistic approach," McVay said. "But you never know with Robert." Woods is worth hanging on to as a fantasy starter in Weeks 15 and 16.
Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game against the Saints. He didn’t practice all week and is expected to miss multiple games. The majority of the 7 targets Woods has averaged per game should go to WRs Sammy Watkins and Cooper Kupp.
Rams WR Robert Woods is expected to miss "a couple of weeks" with his shoulder injury, HC Sean McVay said. That's all we know about the injury at this point. We can safely rule him out for Sunday's game against the Saints -- and probably for Week 13, too. WR Josh Reynolds could pick up some more snaps on the outside with Woods out but can't be trusted in fantasy lineups. WRs Cooper Kupp and Sammy Watkins will be the best bets for targets.
Update: McVay said the fill-in plan behind Woods was "something that we'll discuss" and added that it would be "kind of by committee." In addition to Reynolds, the coach mentioned Tavon Austin, Mike Thomas and Pharoh Cooper. Fantasy owners shouldn't bet on any of these guys become factors over the next couple of weeks.
